BOYS TENNIS: Liberty squeaks out victory over Basic

Liberty’s Kevin Blomquist went 3-0 in singles Friday to lead the Patriots’ boys tennis team to a 10-8 win at Basic.
The doubles team of Thomas Blomquist and Brendan Brandonisio finished 3-0 for Liberty.
Green Valley 11, Foothill 7 — At Foothill, Ben Liebermann finished 3-0 in singles to lead the Gators by the Falcons.
Robert Sarosi and Ryan Elezra went 3-0 in doubles for Green Valley.
Legacy 14, Shadow Ridge 4 — At Shadow Ridge, Willie Valdez-Grijalva finished 3-0 in singles to lead the Longhorns past the Mustangs.
Hector Rios and Alexander Olive finished 3-0 in doubles for the Longhorns.
Virgin Valley 10, Rancho 8 — At Mesquite, Chris Cannon went 3-0 in singles as the Vikings topped the Rams.
The doubles team of Ryan Rushton and Tyson Wilson also went 3-0 for Virgin Valley.
Rancho’s Ojas Sali was 2-0 in singles.
Palo Verde 17, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Palo Verde, Dylan Levitt, Sam Soderborg and Jack Kostrinsky each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers defeated the Spartans.
The doubles teams of Davis Waid and Noah Brandt, Hayden Huckfeldt and Michael Safbom, and Denim Richardson and Jaden Atkin each finished 2-0 for Palo Verde.
Coronado 16, Silverado 2 — At Coronado, Philip Potamitis went 2-0 in singles to power the Cougars by the Skyhawks.
The doubles team of Ethan Quandt and Jonah Blake also finished 2-0 for Coronado.
Centennial 10, Faith Lutheran 8 — At Faith Lutheran, the Bulldogs defeated the Crusaders.
Clark 17, Valley 1 — At Valley, the Chargers routed the Vikings.
The Meadows 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Mustangs defeated the Rattlers by forfeit.
