BOYS SOCCER: Green Valley edges Liberty

Dante Marinaro scored in the first half, and goalkeeper Deven Scott helped make it hold up as Green Valley’s boys soccer team beat host Liberty 1-0 on Thursday.

Scott made seven saves, including a key stop late in the second half, to earn the shutout.

Pablo Pena assisted on Marinaro’s goal.

Foothill 4, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Isaac Olsen scored twice, and the Falcons produced all their goals after halftime to beat the Skyhawks.

Reagan Mugume and Dylan Verrastro had Foothill’s other goals. Trent Milne added two assists for the Falcons.

The game was scoreless at halftime.

Sean Borla had Silverado’s goal.

Coronado 10, Basic 1 — At Coronado, John Lynam had three goals and two assists, and Preston Judd had three goals and one assist as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Mat Laudenslager added a goal and an assist, and Alfredo Diaz and Patrick Komanowski each scored once for Coronado. Justin Irungaray had two assists for the Cougars.

Stephen De La Torre scored for Basic.

Sierra Vista 1, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Daniel Perez scored on a penalty kick to give the Mountain Lions a tie with the host Grizzlies.

Perez’s goal came in the eighth minute, following a goal by Ethan Orme on an assist from Jonathan Goecke in the fifth minute for Spring Valley.

Durango 2, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Jamie Munguia scored two second-half goals to lead the Trailblazers over the Bengals.

Christopher Bramasco had an assist for Durango.

Juan Rodriguez scored Bonanza’s goal.

Bishop Gorman 6, Clark 0 — At Gorman, Corrigan Neville had two goals and two assists, and Brandon Malek had a goal and an assist as the Gaels topped the Chargers.

Justin Rasmussen, Alex Daseler and John Fertitta had Gorman’s remaining goals. Hayden Madsen and Matt Wickenhiser each had an assist for the Gaels.

Everett Hume and Spencer Dubreuil combined for the shutout.

Del Sol 11, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Diego Nieves finished with three goals and an assist, and Daniel Barajas scored twice as the Dragons routed the Pirates.

Sergio Calderon, Rafael Rodriguez and Yerovys Vargas-Gill each had a goal and and two assists, and Ruben Ortiz had a goal and an assist.

Ismael Valdez and Luis Martinez also scored for the Dragons, who led 5-0 at halftime.

Erik Serrano, Zachary Harter and Bryan Talavera each had an assist.

Goalkeepers Jesus Gallardo and Rene Teodoro combined on the shutout.

Tech 4, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Andres Santana had a goal and an assist to lead the Roadrunners to a win over the Eagles.

Eduardo Gomez, Alex Mejia and Cruz Velazquez also scored for Tech, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Anthony Garcia and Asish Pandey added the Roadrunners’ assists.

Kenny Flores and Yobani Garcia-Benitez combined on the shutout.

Chaparral 8, Virgin Valley 1 — At Chaparral, Omar Miranda had three goals and an assist, and teammate Gerardo Perieda added two goals and an assist, as the Cowboys blitzed the Bulldogs.

Ray Ochoa, Alexander Caro and Jason Ramos also scored for Chaparral, which got two assists apiece from Angelo Grossi and Leo Gutierrez.

Adelson School 10, Coral Academy 1 — At Adelson School, Alex Sefia had three goals and two assists, and teammates Nevo Ziv and Jalen Pitts each supplied three goals as the Lions routed the Falcons.

Jacob Elharrar also scored for Adelson School, which got two assists apiece from Ben Elharrar, Samuel Shain, and Dylan Soresman.

Kevin Espinoza scored Coral Academy’s goal.
