Tonopah rolls past Round Mountain

Quarterback Tanner Otteson and running back Kade Bunker combined to rush for 387 yards in Tonopah’s 57-28 home victory over Round Mountain Friday night.
Otteson, who collected 216 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, added 125 yards and two more touchdowns through the air. Bunker had 171 yards and one touchdown as Tonopah (4-0, 2-0 Class 1A Southern League) stormed to a 36-14 halftime lead.
John Shiflet came up big on defense for the Muckers, making two interceptions on the day. Tyler Kirkland caught both of Otteson’s touchdown passes.
Vinny Bagarose and Brandon Scobee had rushing touchdowns for Tonopah.
Round Mountain’s James Corbin had a passing touchdown and also rushed for a score. Colton Alstatt returned a kick for a touchdown for the Knights (0-4, 0-2).
