SOFTBALL: Bryce Henricksen helps Arbor View defeat Legacy

Bryce Henricksen went 3-for-3 with a double Thursday to help Arbor View’s softball team to an 8-5 home win over Legacy.
Kaylea Patridge finished 2-for-3 with a double. Patridge had a two-run single as part of Arbor View’s three-run fourth inning.
Brittany Henricksen was 2-for-3 with a double, and teammate Terren Vinson was 2-for-3 for the Aggies.
Alyssa Sotelo went 2-for-4 with two doubles to lead Legacy. Clarissa Lona had a triple, and Braelin Brockway added a double for the Longhorns, who scored twice in the top of the fourth to tie the score at 4-4.
Centennial 9, Bishop Gorman 7 — At Gorman, winning pitcher Deanna Barrera homered, and the Bulldogs built a 9-3 lead before holding off the Gaels.
Stephanie Day, Skyler Ball and Lina Barrera each had two hits for Centennial.
Megan Coyle was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs, and Morgan Blanner went 2-for-4 with a double and tow RBIs for Gorman, which scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Palo Verde 11, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Palo Verde, Makall Whetten was 2-for-2 with a triple and five RBIs as the Panthers defeated the Spartans.
Cara Beatty went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Jessica Nimmo finished 2-for-3 for Palo Verde, which used a five-run fifth to take control.
Rebecca Johnson was 3-for-3 for Cimarron, and teammate Cierra Davis went 2-for-4.
Pahrump Valley 6, Western 1 — At Pahrump, Amaya Mendoza and Krista Toomer combined on a three-hitter as the Trojans topped the Warriors.
Kathy Niles was 2-for-4 with two doubles for Pahrump.
Shadow Ridge 14, Bonanza 4 — At Shadow Ridge, Raelyn Kendall was 5-for-5 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs as the Mustangs downed the Bengals in five innings.
Alisha Schultz and Shelbi Denman combined on a six-hitter for Shadow Ridge. Kate Dennis finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs for the Mustangs.
Caitlin Lloyd went 2-for-2 with a grand slam to lead Bonanza.
Sierra Vista 13, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Kalei Watkins was 4-for-4 with two home runs, two doubles and eight RBIs and combined with Alyssa Lewis on a three-hitter as the Mountain Lions downed the Desert Shields in five innings.
Taylor DeGuzman and Mia Buranamonti each went 2-for-4 for Sierra Vista.
Spring Valley 14, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Madison Hood, Vivian Quiroz-Montano and Marlena Adras each had two doubles as the Grizzlies defeated the Rattlers in five innings.
Stephanie Huff homered for Spring Valley, which scored seven runs in the fifth inning.
Ariel Wilson had two hits for Mojave.
Faith Lutheran 12, Clark 0 — At Clark, Haley Jack spun a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Crusaders by the Chargers.
Jack walked one and struck out five.
Ryleigh Gilchrist went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Samantha Jack was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for Faith Lutheran, which led 12-0 after two innings.
Claire Peck was 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Kailee Myxter and Kristen Blackmon each went 2-for-3 for Faith Lutheran.
Pahranagat Valley 16-12, Sandy Valley 1-2 — At Alamo, Kaitlyn Davis threw a five-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts and went 2-for-2 in first game as the Panthers swept a doubleheader from the Sidewinders.
Madison Harris went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Sidney Harris added a double for Pahranagat Valley, which scored eight runs in the second inning of the opener.
Harris was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs in the nightcap.
Brook Higbee had a double, and Rachel Bunker went 1-for-2 for Pahranagat Valley in the second game.
Durango at Desert Oasis — At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks led the Trailblazers 4-2 in the bottom of the third inning when the game was suspended because of an illness to the home plate umpire.
