GOLF: Atkinson, Eagles win Sunrise League match

Kyler Atkinson shot 7-over-par 79 at Las Vegas National on Monday to earn medalist honors and lead Boulder City’s boys golf team to victory in a Sunrise League match.

The Eagles, who got an 82 from Cade Neilson, shot 440 as a team. Needles took second with 457, followed by Virgin Valley at 487.

Moapa Valley’s Jacob Causey and Virgin Valley’s Hogan Fowles each shot 83.

Aggies win Northwest League match

At Canyon Gate, Sam Dickey carded a 3-over 75 to lead Arbor View to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Aggies had five of the top seven finishers, including Hazen Newman, who was second with a 78.

Arbor View shot 397 as a team. Desert Oasis was second at 435, followed by Centennial at 486 and Cimarron-Memorial at 578.

Desert Oasis’ Syouta Wakisaka shot 79.
