VOLLEYBALL: Gougeon, Aggies defeat Gorman

Brenden Gougeon dished out 39 assists Thursday as host Arbor View’s boys volleyball team downed Bishop Gorman, 25-20, 28-30, 25-21, 25-22.

Treven Clizbe and Brenden Wagner each supplied 18 kills for the Aggies, who also got 15 digs from Michael Prescia.

Charles Pollnow tallied 21 kills, and Jacob Taylor added 20 kills to lead Gorman. Trevor Papcock had 50 assists for the Gaels.

Las Vegas 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Las Vegas, Brandon Kampshoff had 11 kills, nine digs and three blocks, and

Raymond Magante had 11 kills and 10 digs to lead the Wildcats to a 29-27, 26-24, 27-25 sweep of the Mustangs.

Luis Wong had 33 assists, and Cannon McCoy added 13 digs for Las Vegas.

Brendan Harville had 11 kills to lead Shadow Ridge.

Sierra Vista 3, Rancho 1 — At Sierra Vista, Chris McCoy had 14 kills and 10 digs as the Mountain Lions downed the Rams, 25-20, 18-25, 27-25, 25-19.

Nik Fava had nine kills and 16 digs, and Brendan Cowden had 36 assists and nine digs for Sierra Vista.

Lamont Traylor had 25 kills and three aces to lead Rancho, which also got two aces and 10 digs from Paul Ruma.
