GIRLS BASKETBALL: Betoney helps Falcons rally past Green Valley

Trinity Betoney scored 20 points Wednesday to help Foothill’s girls basketball team rally for a 54-44 win at Green Valley in a battle for first place in the Southeast League.
Kylie Vint added 17 points for the Falcons, who trailed 35-34 entering the fourth quarter and improved to 7-1 in league play, good for a 1½-game lead over both Green Valley and Coronado.
Brooke Haney led the Gators with 24 points.
Coronado 48, Eldorado 45 — At Eldorado, Payton Caci scored 22 points to help the Cougars hold off the Sundevils.
Talia Sapp added 10 points for Coronado, which led 31-25 at the half.
Daria Lomasney led Eldorado with 18 points, and teammate DeAsia Walker scored 10.
Rancho 44, Basic 25 — At Basic, Maureen Macato scored 10 points to help the Rams pull away from the Wolves.
Tatiana Lee and Samantha Pochop each added nine points for Rancho, which led 16-12 at halftime.
Lauren Powell led Basic with seven points.
Canyon Springs 61, Silverado 48 — At Canyon Springs, Alexia Thrower had 28 points and 12 rebounds to power the Pioneers past the Skyhawks.
KeAjanae Haley added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 41-38 after three quarters.
Japrea Edwards scored 17 points, and teammate Deja Siaki added 15 points for Silverado.
Las Vegas 55, Valley 39 — At Las Vegas, Teconna Dyer had 13 points to lead the Wildcats by the Vikings.
Bianca Matlock and Adrina Collins each added 12 points for Las Vegas, which made 25 of 49 free throws.
Sandra Scroggins led Valley with 12 points.
Centennial 77, Desert Oasis 42 — At Desert Oasis, Justice Ethridge had 18 points to help the Bulldogs top the Diamondbacks.
Samantha Thomas added 12 points, and Jayden Eggleston scored 11 for Centennial, which got 10 points from Bailey Thomas.
KePatriot Simpson led Desert Oasis with 13 points, and teammate Mikala Kirby added 11 points.
Arbor View 65, Bonanza 17 — At Arbor View, Autumn Westmoreland and Kalli Hosier each scored 14 points as the Aggies routed the Bengals.
Kera Farmer and Alaysia Reed each added eight points for Arbor View, which led 44-12 at halftime.
Shadow Ridge 51, Cimarron-Memorial 36 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs defeated the Spartans.
Adelson School 36, Indian Springs 16 — At Adelson School, the Lions topped the Thunderbirds.
