BOYS BOWLING: Gators sweep Silverado in Sunrise quarterfinals

Joe Gerencser rolled games of 225, 258 and 226 for a 709 series Monday to help Green Valley's boys bowling team to a 9-0 win over Silverado in the Sunrise Region quarterfinals at The Orleans.
The Gators had a total of 2,169 pins to Silverado's 2,061.
Liberty rolled the high game (855) and high series (2,310) en route to a 9-0 win over Basic.
Eldorado swept Valley 9-0, and Las Vegas was a 7-2 winner over Coronado in the other quarterfinals.
In the Sunset Region, D.J. Wyatt's 258 game helped Bishop Gorman close out a 7-2 win over Centennial in a quarterfinal.
Desert Oasis had the high series (2,215) and swept Legacy, 9-0.
Shadow Ridge swept Cimarron-Memorial 9-0, and Arbor View downed Palo Verde, 7-2 in the other quarterfinals.
DIVISION I-A
Kyle Rendon rolled a 265 game to help Tech to a 9-0 win over Mojave in a Southern Region quarterfinal.
Mojave's Skyler McGowan had the high series with a 659.
Boulder City rolled the best team score (2,248) of the day in Division I-A en route to a 9-0 sweep of Spring Valley.
Sierra Vista swept Desert Pines 9-0, and Clark was a 7-2 winner over Chaparral in the other quarterfinals.
