BOYS BASKETBALL: White’s buzzer-beating 3 helps Miners down Dragons

Tyri White hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Sunrise Mountain's boys basketball team a 56-54 road win at Del Sol on Friday.

White scored 13 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter for the Miners, who trailed 41-29 going into the final period.

Theodore Williams added 10 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Jonathan Spearman led Del Sol with 16 points.

Clark 46, Cheyenne 40 — At Cheyenne, Darius Jackson had 13 points as the Chargers held off the Desert Shields.

James Bridges added 11 points for Clark, which trailed 25-24 at the half.

Kavon Williams led Cheyenne with 15 points, and teammate William Moore had 12 points and six rebounds.

Bishop Gorman 77, Bolivar (Mo.) 62 — At Springfield, Mo., Zach Collins had 32 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Gaels past the Liberators in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions.

The 6-foot-11-inch Collins was 11-for-15 from the field, including 2-for-3 on 3-pointers. He also had six assists and three blocked shots for Gorman and was 8-for-10 from the foul line.

The Gaels shot 28-for-45 from the field (62.2 percent) as a team.

Charles O'Bannon had 14 points for the Gaels, who grabbed a 35-24 halftime lead. Bolivar trimmed the lead to 41-36 midway through the third quarter before Gorman expanded it to 70-50 on a 3-pointer by Collins with 2:43 left in the game.

Johnny Scott led Bolivar with 20 points, and teammate Bryce Krueger scored 16.

Desert Oasis 95, Palo Verde 77 — At Desert Oasis, Drevin Cannon scored 21 points to help the Diamondbacks beat the Panthers.

Aamondae Coleman added 18 points and nine rebounds, and Daron Fuglesten had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Desert Oasis. Leslie Long added 13 points for the Diamondbacks, who went 31-for-43 from the free-throw line.

Palo Verde's Taylor Miller led all scorers with 38 points. Christian Bryant added 13 points for the Panthers.

Durango 71, Foothill 64 — At Foothill, Zyare Ruffin and Jason Landman each scored 18 points as the Trailblazers held off the Falcons.

Demetrius Valdez added 11 points and was 5-for-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter for Durango, which got 10 points apiece from Chase Ruiz and Jeremie Portuondo.

Jace Roquemore had 18 points to lead Foothill, and teammate Mauricio Smith scored 16.

T.J. Johnson and Jeron Bodin added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Falcons.

Western 61, Spring Valley 55 — At Western, Kwan Carter had 25 points and five rebounds to help the Warriors down the Grizzlies.

Nakia Harris-Neal added 11 points and six assists for Western, which led 32-30 at halftime. The Warriors finished just 13-for-37 at the free-throw line.

Sal Everett led Spring Valley with 13 points. Eric Hansen and Joseph Johnson each had 11 points, and teammate Ryan Frazier scored 10 for the Grizzlies.

Cimarron-Memorial 73, Las Vegas 69 — At Las Vegas, Jeremiah Broussard scored 24 points to power the Spartans by the Wildcats.

Marcus Phillips added nine points for Cimarron, which led 41-35 at halftime.

Donovan Joyner led Las Vegas with 20 points. Marquise Raybon had 14 points, and Ronald Daniels scored 13 for the Wildcats.

Bonanza 65, Rancho 58 — At Rancho, Jamal Logan scored 17 points to lead the Bengals over the Rams.

Davian Jordan scored 16 points, and Travis Jenkins added 11 points for Bonanza.

Chrys Jackson scored 22 points to lead the Rams, who got 13 points from Lamont Traylor and 11 from Chris Estrella.

Centennial 69, Legacy 47 — At Centennial, Troy Brown scored nine of his 17 points in the second quarter to help the Bulldogs defeat the Longhorns.

Centennial led 19-9 after one quarter and extended the lead to 36-20 at the half.

Roy Sparks and Jamaal Evans each added eight points for the Bulldogs.

Tim Jeffries led Legacy with 11 points.

Arbor View 58, Valley 40 — At Arbor View, Jesse Vogel had nine of his 21 points in the first quarter to lead the Aggies over the Vikings.

Vogel hit four 3-pointers, including three in the first half. The Aggies led 16-4 after one quarter and 34-16 at the break.

Corey Johnson added 10 points for Arbor View, and teammate Cameron Trailer had eight points and six assists.

Roell King had 11 points, and John King scored 10 to lead Valley.

Chaparral 69, Boulder City 43 — At Boulder City, Ronnie Hicks scored 17 points to lead the Cowboys in a rout over the Eagles.

Jonathan Tendale added 15 points for Chaparral, which took control early, outscoring Boulder City 16-7 in the first quarter.

Richard Nelson had 12 points, and teamamte Marc Silas added 11 points for the Cowboys.

Austin Wishard scored 12 points to lead the Eagles, who also got 10 points from Zach Murphy.

Mojave 77, Pahrump Valley 59 — At Pahrump, Chrishawn Thomas scored 24 points to lead the Rattlers past the Trojans.

Richard Edwards scored 20 points, and Tyrique Watson added 18 points for Mojave, which led 36-22 at the half.

Bryce Odegard scored 26 points to lead the Trojans, who got 23 points from Danny Foss.

Desert Pines 69, Virgin Valley 54 — At Mesquite, Capri Uzan scored 20 of his game-high 31 points in the first half and connected five 3-pointers as the Jaguars downed the Bulldogs.

Trevon Abdullah added 14 points for Desert Pines, which led 37-24 at halftime.

Andrew Memmott led Virgin Valley with 13 points. Zach Barnum had 12 points, and Jarrett Tietjen scored eight for the Bulldogs.

Moapa Valley 47, Tech 34 — At Overton, Nathaniel Thompson scored 12 points to lead the Pirates over the Roadrunners.

Dalyn Leavitt added seven points for the Moapa Valley, which outscored Tech 26-16 in the first half.

Paul Galang and Sir-Issak Singleton each scored eight points to lead the Roadrunners.

Silverado 67, Shadow Ridge 48 — At Silverado, Tyric Johnson led three double-figure scorers with 25 points as the Skyhawks topped the Mustangs.

Matthew Arnold added 14 points, and Kris Coe scored 10 for Silverado, which led 36-13 at halftime.

Jerell Springer had 14 points, and Anthony Jaramillo added 10 points for Shadow Ridge.

Elko 58, Liberty 50 — At Liberty, Eric Klekas scored 24 points to lead the Indians over the Patriots.

Kyrin Allen had 17 points for Elko, which led 34-22 at the half.

Kyle Thaxton had 15 points, and teammate Dyllan Robinson scored 14 to lead Liberty.

Calvary Chapel 67, Needles 41 — At Calvary Chapel, Cameron Varela hit five 3-pointers and scored 24 points as the Lions ran away from the Mustangs.

Quentin Hank added 15 points for Calvary Chapel, which took control of the game by outscoring Needles 22-5 in the second quarter. As a team, the Lions hit 10 3-pointers.

Trenton Poe-Evans scored nine points to lead the Mustangs.

Agassi Prep 72, Lincoln County 28 — At Agassi Prep, Akeemis Williams scored 21 points as the Stars rolled past the Lynx.

Dion Binion had 14 points, and Daniel Plummer and Stephan LauShaul each scored 12 points for Agassi Prep, which led 52-17 at the half.

Kezaun Cooper had 14 rebounds for the Stars.

Kobe Walker scored nine points to lead the Lynx.

The Meadows 60, Lake Mead 27 — At Lake Mead, Jake Epstein scored 23 points as the Mustangs roared past the Eagles.

Max Hisatake added 12 points for The Meadows, which took a 26-12 halftime advantage.

Austin Newby led Lake Mead with 11 points.

Beaver Dam 51, Indian Springs 28 — At Indian Springs, Luiz Gonzalez scored 14 points to help the Diamondbacks down the Thunderbirds.

Manny Villarreal and Nick Miromontes each added 10 points for Beaver Dam, which jumped out to a 26-10 halftime lead.

Nino Alvarez led Indian Springs with 15 points.

Sandy Valley 55, Lund 11 — At Sandy Valley, Wyatt Robinson had nine points and eight rebounds as the Sidewinders blitzed the Mustangs.

Logan Shelton and Brandon Eastham each added seven points for Sandy Valley, which led 26-2 after one quarter and 45-6 at the half.

Brendon Rimington had five points for Lund.
