TENNIS: Mojave girls clinch first postseason berth

The doubles teams of Miranda Sanders and Nina Dreyer, and Poleth Rodriguez and Sharrah Kenyon each went 2-0 on Wednesday as Mojave's girls clinched the first postseason tennis berth in school history with an 11-5 win at Sierra Vista.

Andrada Stancia was 2-0 in singles for the Mountain Lions.

Liberty 10, Silverado 9 — At Silverado, Parker Burk and Karee Taylor went 3-0 in doubles as the Patriots secured the Northeast League title with a win over the Skyhawks.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets and each won 3 of 6 tiebreaker games. Liberty outscored Silverado, 27-26 in the tiebreakers to earn the victory.

Megan Lopez and Tiffany Theophil each went 3-0 in singles for Silverado.

The Meadows 16, Clark 2 — At Clark, Samantha Gondy was 2-0 in singles as the Mustangs won the Sunset League title by defeating the Chargers.

Moapa Valley 13, Virgin Valley 3 — At Overton, Hannah Rust and Lindsey Leavitt went 3-0 in doubles as the Pirates cruised past the Bulldogs in a match that was halted due to darkness.

Lisa Bruckmann and Bodjel Gijzen each went 2-0 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Natilyn Faught went 2-1 in singles for Virgin Valley.

Centennial 10, Cimarron Memorial 8 — At Cimarron, Madison Dobbs and Macie Stratton went 3-0 in doubles as the Bulldogs edged the Spartans.

Lovely Warner-McRoy and Keilani Kimoto each went 2-1 in singles for Centennial.

Justine Felix went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Sydnie Roberts and Tasia Moore, and Vivien Ross and Cara Bender each went 2-1 for Cimarron.

Bonanza 13, Arbor View 5 — At Arbor View, Ashlee McKenna was 3-0 in singles to help the Bengals beat the Aggies.

The doubles teams of Abby Lords and Caroline Thuet, and Brittany Bates and Emmalee Glover also went 3-0 for Bonanza.

Catherine Arizmendez and Kahlea Kimoto each went 2-1 in singles for Arbor View.

Desert Pines 11, Eldorado 7— At Desert Pines, Ashley Palacios was 3-0 in singles to help the Jaguars down the Sundevils.

The doubles teams of Shelly Alvarado and Cecilia Garcia-Leon, and Veronica Palacios and Dori Harper both went 3-0 for Desert Pines.

Spring Valley 14, Western 4 — At Western, Michelle Lu and Alexa Rojas went 2-0 in doubles as the Grizzlies defeated the Warriors.

Valley 15, Las Vegas 3 — At Valley, Alexandra Jianu and Danielle Bradley each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Vikings by the Wildcats.

The doubles teams of Claire Angel and Annelisa Laizure, and Deanine Dilworth and Sara Tegtmeyer each went 3-0 for Valley.

Cheyenne 12, Adelson School 0 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields won by forfeit.

BOYS

Liberty 11, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, Kevin Bloomquist and Spencer Williamson each went 3-0 in singles as the Patriots won the Northeast League title by defeating the Skyhawks.

The doubles teams of Ryan Pappas and Lawson Borla, and Taz Goon and Constandinos Pappas both finished 3-0 for Silverado.

Clark 13, The Meadows 5 — At Clark, Michael Pasimio went 3-0 in singles to help the Chargers win the Sunset League title by downing the Mustangs.

Marcus Pasimio and Christian Ong finished 3-0 in doubles for Clark.

Alex Lanzkowsky was 2-1 in singles for The Meadows.

Arbor View 10, Bonanza 8 — At Arbor View, Treven Clizbe and Brenden Wagner went 3-0 in doubles to help lift the Aggies over the Bengals.

Michael Spencer and Bailey Kline went 2-0 in doubles, and Lucas Cordova was 2-1 in singles for Arbor View.

Weston Clark went 3-0 in singles, and teammate Justin Balconi was 2-1 in singles for Bonanza.

Moapa Valley 10, Virgin Valley 8 — At Overton, the doubles teams of Hayden Postma and Tyler Peterson, and Nathan Barraza and Chase Kruse each went 2-0, and Koby Frei was 2-1 in singles to help the Pirates nip the Bulldogs and secure the Sunrise League title.

Simon Kahlert was 3-0 in singles for Virgin Valley.

Las Vegas 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Ben Bowen went 2-0 in singles to lead the Wildcats by the Vikings.

The doubles teams of Trey Chauncey and Kyle Monton, and Jonathan Sosa and Trevor Christiansen both went 2-1 for Las Vegas.

Alex Gustilo and Marty Heavey were 3-0 in doubles for Valley.

Diego Cardosa and Trevor Huntley went 3-0 in doubles for Cimarron.

Desert Pines 11, Eldorado 7 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars topped the Sundevils.

Trevor Swain was 3-0 in singles for Eldorado.

Adelson School 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Lions won by forfeit.

Spring Valley 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Warriors won by forfeit.
