VOLLEYBALL: McCall leads Foothill past Green Valley

Kiley McCall had 47 assists, 17 digs and three aces Monday to lead Foothill's girls volleyball team to a 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18 victory over visiting Green Valley.

Alyssa McCoy added 13 kills and six blocks for the Falcons, and teammate Courtney Nilson had 14 kills and two blocks.

Aysia Mabry added 11 kills, 13 digs and two aces for Foothill.

Rachel Klopfer led Green Valley with 18 kills, 22 digs and five aces. Paige Schultz added three kills, nine digs and three aces for the Gators.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Del Sol 2 — At Del Sol, Shayne Siegel had eight kills to help the Miners to a 19-25, 25-17, 25-8, 21-25, 15-12 win over the Dragons.

Rebecca Ramirez had 28 digs, and Zoey Ruiz served four aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Cora Butorac had seven aces and seven digs, and teammate Christy Patinio added 31 digs and two aces for Del Sol.

Virgin Valley 3, Boulder City 1 — At Mesquite, Bernice Fiso had 23 kills and 13 digs to lead the Bulldogs by the Eagles, 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-15.

Janella Fiso had 38 assists, 13 aces and 15 digs, and Lexi Thompson added 16 digs for Virgin Valley.

Shadow Ridge 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Whitnee Nihipali had 23 kills and 18 digs to lead the Mustangs past the Panthers, 26-24, 25-22, 25-19.

Eadara Files dished out 42 assists and had 14 digs, Rachel Chambers had five blocks, and Kizzy Rodriguez had 29 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Kayla Kinney had 16 kills and seven digs to lead Palo Verde.

Emma Gutierrez had 28 assists and 13 digs, Virginia Rallo had 20 digs, and Mia Sadler added 17 digs for the Panthers.

Coronado 3, Rancho 0 — At Coronado, Alex Portugue had 13 kills to help the Cougars to a 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 win over the Rams.

Cali Thompson added 34 assists, five digs, three blocks and two aces, and teammate Megan Wang had six digs for Coronado.

Karime Raygoza had eight kills and eight digs for Rancho, and Kayla Coles had 13 digs and two aces for the Rams.

Legacy 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Kiana Carter had 12 kills to lead the Longhorns past the Trailblazers, 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Danielle Castillo had seven kills for Legacy, and Iyana Greshman added five kills for the Longhorns.

Mary Patricio had seven kills, and teammate Cayla Cooper had 14 digs to lead Durango.

Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Chaparral, Jacitee Panon had three kills, seven aces and 10 assists to lead the Cowboys past the Jaguars, 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

Jessica Joiner and Alyssa Porras each added four kills and two aces for Chaparral.

Moapa Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Overton, Madison Bush had four kills and four aces as the Pirates swept the Roadrunners, 25-16, 25-4, 25-11.

Aria Messer added 23 assists and four aces for Moapa Valley, and Halle Bennett notched four kills for the Pirates.

Basic 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Kiara Richardson had seven kills to lead the Wolves to a 25-9, 25-9, 25-11 sweep of the Sundevils.

Azure Werner had five kills and five assists, and teammate Skylar Robbins had eight assists and two aces for Basic.

Hailey Stark had three kills and two aces to lead Eldorado.

Liberty Baptist 3, Adelson School 1 — At Liberty Baptist, the Eagles were 25-11, 22-25, 25-12, 25-17 winners over the Lions.
