2015-16 Spring Valley Wrestling Capsule

SPRING VALLEY

Head coach: Fred Meyer, 12th season

Returning lettermen: Six

Top wrestlers: Tyler Nishi-Rivera (Jr.), Marlon Decoud (Sr.), Zac Pakulak (Sr.)

Outlook: Usually one of the more competitive programs in the state, Spring Valley returns six lettermen.

Decoud, who likely will wrestle at 138 pounds, and Pakulak (170) both finished fifth in the Division I-A state meet last year.

"Decoud has improved a great deal and will be tough to beat in 2016," Meyer said. "Pakulak has worked hard to improve his skills and will challenge for the state championship."

Nishi-Rivera finished fifth in the Southern Region meet last year, and Meyer expects him to challenge for state honors.
