BOYS BASKETBALL: Ellis, Sierra Vista rally past Cimarron

Maka Ellis scored nine of his 24 points in the fourth quarter as Sierra Vista's boys rallied for a 66-64 win at Cimarron-Memorial on Thursday.
Lerone Gibson added 13 points, and teammate Tanner Lewis scored 10 for the Mountain Lions, who trailed 52-41 after three quarters, but took the lead in the final minute of the game.
Elijah Coleman had 16 points, and LaRon Young scored 15 for Cimarron. Jeremiah Broussard added 10 points, and teammate KeAnte Huddleston had six points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shot for the Spartans.
Durango 59, Cherry Creek (Colo.) 44 — At Durango, Jason Landman had 22 points and six rebounds to spark the Trailblazers as they rallied past the Bruins.
Durango outscored the Bruins 26-7 to in the fourth quarter to take control of the game.
Demetrius Valdez added 12 points for the Trailblazers, and teammate Michael Diggins added nine points and nine rebounds.
Will Halfon scored 18 points to lead Cherry Creek.
Bishop Gorman 98, Desert Oasis 73 — At Desert Oasis, Zach Collins scored 13 of his 21 points in the first quarter to help the Gaels roll past the Diamondbacks.
Gorman led 40-16 after one quarter and 66-29 at the half.
Christian Popoola added 16 points for the Gaels, and teammate Chase Noma'aea scored 13.
Desert Oasis' Aamondae Coleman led all scorers with 30 points. Drevin Cannon scored 16 for the Diamondbacks.
Lincoln (Colo.) 58, Basic 28 — At Basic, Umar Jalloh scored 17 points to help the Lancers top the Wolves.
Jamison Washington added 10 points for Lincoln, which led 32-14 at the half.
Trent Digiulio led Basic with 10 points.
Needles 65, Laughlin 50 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Irving Juarez scored 17 points to lead the Mustangs past the Cougars in the Mohave Holiday Showcase.
Victor Ochoa added 13 points and 10 rebounds, Derek Wagstaff scored 11 points, and Trey Tsosie had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Needles.
Corey Anderson led Laughlin with 24 points, and teammate Andrew Estes scored 10.
Yuma Catholic (Ariz.) 55, Mountain View 36 — At Yuma, Ariz., Daniel Callendar had 16 points, and Julian Jones added 12 points as the Shamrocks defeated the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.
Tevin Gray and Tyrell Brooks each had 10 points to pace Mountain View.
