BOYS BASKETBALL: Last-second shot drops Gaels

Tyrell Henderson's basket with 1.2 seconds to play gave Corona del Sol (Ariz.) a 76-74 win over Bishop Gorman in the Desert Challenge in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Saturday.

It was the only lead of the game for the Aztecs.

Saben Lee scored 32 points to lead Corona del Sol. Alex Barcello added 17 points, and Henderson scored 15 for the Aztecs.

Zach Collins paced Gorman with 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocked shots.

Charles O'Bannon had 16 points and five rebounds for the Gaels, and teammate Christian Popoola had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Byron Frohnen added 11 points, four rebounds and five assists for Gorman.

Liberty 80, Don Lugo (Calif.) 70 — At Pomona, Calif., Kyle Thaxton had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and the Patriots started overtime on a 6-0 run en route to a win over the Conquistadores.

Cameron Burist scored 18 points, and Dyllan Robinson added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Liberty, which rallied from a 55-46 fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime. Kahlil DeRouen had 11 points for Liberty.

Daniel William Bohler led Don Lugo with 30 points.

Foothill 79, Fremont (Calif.) 74 — At Orem, Utah, Mauricio Smith had 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Falcons stormed back from a 63-54 fourth-quarter deficit to top the Pathfinders in the Free Tax USA Shootout.

Jeron Bodin added 15 points, and Marvin Coleman had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Foothill, which led 44-39 at the half before Fremont used a 24-10 third-quarter burst to take the lead.

T.J. Johnson had 14 points, and Devon Erb added 13 points for the Falcons.

Harvey Carver led Fremont with 20 points.

Arbor View 68, Tuba City (Ariz.) 61 — At Page, Ariz., Jarrod Burks scored 20 points to lead the Aggies to the win in the NGS Invitational.

Cameron Trailer added 19 points, and Sevonyae Smith scored 17 for Arbor View.

Davean Yazzie poured in 30 points for Tuba City.

Desert Hills (Utah) 76, Green Valley 57 — At St. George, Utah, Marcus McKone had 24 points to lead the Thunder by the Gators.

Logan Hokanson added 12 points for Desert Hills.

Xavier Jarvis had 27 points and eight rebounds, and Canyon Lewis added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Green Valley.

Dixie (Utah) 89, Green Valley 73 — At St. George, Utah, the Flyers topped the Gators.

Xavier Jarvis had 34 points and 10 rebounds, and Matthew Tuttle added 21 points and six assists for Green Valley.

Mountain View 68, Lincoln County 31 — At Panaca, Terrence Brooks had 20 points to help the Saints rout the Lynx.

Tevin Gray added 18 points, and Christian Bennett scored 10 for Mountain View, which led 22-9 after one quarter.
