GIRLS SOCCER: Mozqueda, Miners hold off Sundevils

Sunrise Mountain's Miriam Mozqueda scored twice in the first half Thursday, and the Miners held on for a 3-2 win over visiting Eldorado.
Briana Torres added a goal for Sunrise Mountain, which led 3-0 at the half.
Brianna Duran scored twice for the Sundevils.
Bishop Gorman 3, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Hannah Borgel scored twice to lead the Gaels by the Crusaders.
Arlie Jones added a goal and an assist for Gorman, which led 3-0 at the half.
Kristi Chinn scored for Faith Lutheran.
Silverado 2, Tech 2 — At Tech, Deanna Passerella scored twice, including the tying goal with 30 minutes left, to allow the Skyhawks to tie the Roadrunners.
Maria Garcia-Silva and Veronica Gonzales scored for Tech.
Legacy 4, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Gabriella Lancaster scored three goals to lead the Longhorns by the Desert Shields.
Isabella Skrinjaric added a goal for Legacy.
Perla Hernandez scored for Cheyenne.
Spring Valley 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Samantha Meyers scored three goals to guide the Grizzlies by the Bengals.
Kelsea Rivera and Alliyah Tracy combined on the shutout for Spring Valley.
Valley 0, Basic 0 — At Basic, the Vikings and Wolves played to a scoreless draw.
Valley goalkeeper Vanessa Marroquin had eight saves, and Basic's Bryanna Johnson had four saves.
Foothill 8, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Katherine Ballou had five goals and an assist as the Falcons routed the Wildcats.
Tayler Arteaga added two goals, and Myriah Epino had a goal and an assist for Foothill, which netted six goals in the second half.
Natalie Williams and Darrien Sclafani combined on the shutout.
Cimarron-Memorial 7, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Jazmin Centeno had two goals and four assists as the Spartans blanked the Cowboys.
Annalise Esparza also scored two goals for the Spartans.
Jenny Acevedo added a goal and an assist, and Kaylee Nerio and Natasha Martin each scored a goal for Cimarron.
Goalkeepers Nadia Rodriguez (three saves) and Alissa Longenecker (one save) combined on the shutout.
Green Valley 8, Sierra Vista 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had two goals and four assists as the Gators routed the Mountain Lions.
Taylor Paulsen and Chloe Kirson each had a goal and an assist, and Shestan Lynam, Maggie Bender, Chela Anglin and Talia Lopez also scored for Green Valley, which led only 2-0 at the half.
