GOLF: Penor, Cougars roll in Southeast League match

Sami Penor shot 6-under-par 66 at Las Vegas Municipal on Wednesday as Coronado's girls golf team ran away with a Southeast League match.

The Cougars, who also got a 75 from Victoria Estrada and a 79 from Crystle Querol, shot 305 as a team. Foothill was second at 399, followed by Green Valley at 407.

Rancho's Aubrianna Jordan shot 80.

Gorman defeats Centennial, Desert Oasis

At Highland Falls, Sarah James shot 4-over 40 to lead Bishop Gorman to victory in a three-team match.

The Gaels, who got a 41 from Jennifer Le, shot 173 as a team, five strokes better than Centennial. Desert Oasis was third at 211.

Desert Oasis' Ashley Malone was the medalist with a 37.

Rumusod, Patriots win Northeast League match

At Revere, Shaena Rumusod was the medalist with a 34-over 106 and helped Liberty win a Northeast League match.

The Patriots shot 462 and were the only team to post a score.

Silverado's Teah Fisher and Alexis Nordlinder, and Liberty's Lauren Martin each shot 116.

Panthers down Pahrump

At Badlands, Annick Haczkiewicz shot 3-over 39 to lead Palo Verde to a 172-229 win over Pahrump Valley.

Mikenna Klinger added a 40, and Jasmine Jung shot 45 for the Panthers.
