TENNIS: Doubles teams help Foothill girls edge Basic

The doubles teams of Laini George and Morgan Hawkins, and Abby Wilson and Caitlyn Stevenson each went 3-0 on Wednesday to lead Foothill's girls tennis team to a 10-8 win at Basic.
Jasmine Pilande and Sukajna Chaabi each went 3-0 in singles for Basic.
Green Valley 13, Rancho 5 — At Rancho, Racquel Holder and Daria Shalina each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gators past the Rams.
Megan Sloan and Katrina Hutchinson went 2-0 in doubles, and Maiyah Norton and Destiny Trujeque went 2-1 in doubles for Rancho.
Shadow Ridge 13, Legacy 5 — At Legacy, Madison Joblin was 3-0 in singles to help the Mustangs down the Longhorns.
Sierra Vista 13, Western 4 — At Western, Andrada Stancia and Dena Huynh each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Mountain Lions past the Warriors.
Faith Lutheran 14, Mojave 4 — At Mojave, Madison Foley was 2-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders by the Rattlers.
Eva Sampson and Miranda Sanders each went 2-1 in singles for Mojave.
Coronado 17, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, the Cougars swept the nine singles sets in a win over the Sundevils.
Camille Solla, Nikoletta Nikoloff and Hannah Grossman each went 3-0 in singles for Coronado.
Clark 11, Cheyenne 7 — At Clark, the Chargers downed the Desert Shields.
Bishop Gorman 18, Durango 0 — At Durango, the Gaels blanked the Trailblazers.
Spring Valley 12, Adelson School 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Grizzlies won by forfeit.

Tanner Albright went 2-0 in singles, and Bernardo Gutierrez and Josh Talavay went 2-1 in doubles for Rancho.
Spring Valley 14, Adelson School 4 — At Darling Tennis Center, Christopher Zimmerman went 3-0 in singles to lead the Grizzlies by the Lions.
Vangeli Zimmerman and Jaxson Otis were 3-0 in doubles for Spring Valley.
Foothill 14, Basic 4 — At Basic, Aaron Guintu and Ben Crawford each went 2-0 in singles as the Falcons rolled over the Wolves.
Jace Roquemore and Dominic Gonzalez went 2-0 in doubles for Foothill.
