VOLLEYBALL: Coles, Rams down Diamondbacks

Kayla Coles had 11 kills, four blocks and 11 digs, and Karime Raygoza added 11 kills and 10 digs to help Rancho's girls volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-15, 17-25, 25-19 win over visiting Desert Oasis on Thursday.

Maureen Macato added seven kills and six digs, and Serenity Sivongsa had 14 assists and nine digs for the Rams. Shaye Robles had 16 assists and four digs for Rancho.

Kira Beckerle had six kills and 10 assists, and Madison Norr had five kills and nine assists to lead the Diamondbacks. Madison Wolfe had five kills and Kayah Barsey served four aces for Desert Oasis, which got 10 digs from Casedy Field.

Liberty 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Maggie Heim had 14 kills, four aces and four digs as the Patriots topped the Wolves, 25-21, 26-24, 25-23.

Aaliyah Ward had 15 assists, and Tiffany Watkins had six kills and four digs for Liberty, which got eight digs from Rianna Baliza.

Azure Werner led Basic with 11 kills, seven digs and three blocks. Serenity Lomprey added five kills and nine digs for the Wolves.

Boulder City 3, Del Sol 0 — At Boulder City, Jayden Wood had nine kills to lead the Eagles past the Dragons, 25-19, 25-13, 25-9.

Alea Lehr had eight aces and 13 assists, and Bayden Buxford had three aces and 14 digs for Boulder City.

Sarah Seehafer had two kills and three aces to lead Del Sol.

Ayleen Jiminez had two aces, and teammate Christy Patinio had eight digs for the Dragons.

Tech 3, Chaparral 0 — At Tech, Elizabeth Ortega had three aces and eight assists to lead the Roadrunners past the Cowboys, 25-16, 25-20, 25-14.

Katherine Hernandez had four kills and five digs, and Jasmine Ramos had three aces for Tech.

Samantha Backman added two aces and six assists for the Roadrunners, who got seven digs from Caitlynn Miller.

Virgin Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mesquite, Bernice Fiso had 10 kills to lead the Bulldogs over the Miners, 25-10, 25-10, 25-16.

Janella Fiso added 10 aces, and Emma Barnum had six kills and five aces for Virgin Valley.

Moapa Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Lindsey Erikson had 10 aces and three digs as the Pirates beat the Jaguars, 25-6, 25-9, 25-7.

Dannika Gordon added 12 digs and five aces for Moapa Valley, and teammate Shelbi Walker had six aces and three kills.

Clovis (Calif.) 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, the Cougars rolled to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-15 win over the Gaels.

Michelle Kim led Gorman with six kills.

Beatty 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson, the Hornets defeated the Lions, 25-14, 25-18, 25-11.

Sydney Spooner had two blocks to lead Adelson.

Carine Torres had five digs, and teammate Hayden Jansen added four digs for the Lions.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Lake Mead 0 — At Alamo, Madison Harris had nine kills and 18 digs to lead the Panthers to a 25-10, 25-17, 25-14 win over the Eagles.

Madalyn Taylor added nine kills, and teammate Allyse Frehner had 13 assists for Pahranagat Valley.
