Findlay Prep’s Trier scores 17 points in McDonald’s All American Game

Our Savior New American (N.Y.) senior Cheick Diallo had 18 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday to lead the East to a 111-91 win over the West in the McDonald’s All American Game in Chicago.
Findlay Prep’s Allonzo Trier had 17 points to lead the West, which took a 60-57 lead on Trier’s 3-pointer with about 16 minutes left before the East rallied and began to pull away.
Trier, who has committed to Arizona, was 6 of 18 from the field and had four rebounds. He made two of the West’s six 3-pointers.
Bishop Gorman’s Stephen Zimmerman scored six points, including two impressive dunks. Zimmerman, who is undecided on a college, put down a left-handed dunk with 4:22 left in the first half and had a two-handed slam with 15:40 left in the game.
Zimmerman was 3 of 8 from the field and had six rebounds.
Gorman’s Chase Jeter, a Duke signee, had five points and two blocked shots — all in the second half. He and Zimmerman were on the floor together for only three minutes.
