BOYS BASKETBALL: Sutton, Wolves use hot start to top Sundevils

Robert Sutton finished with 20 points Wednesday, and Basic’s boys basketball team rode a hot start to a 58-49 victory over host Eldorado.
Mason Heideman and Jaimen Williams added eight points apiece for the Wolves, who led 26-11 at halftime.
Eldorado, which got within two points late in the third quarter, was led by Carl Crayon’s 15 points. Najee Stephens had 11 points, and teammate Carmonte Jones scored 10 for the Sundevils.
Foothill 70, Rancho 53 — At Rancho, Torrance Littles had a game-high 22 points as the Falcons used a 44-21 run in the middle quarters to top the Rams.
Colin Curi added 16 points, and teammate Kevin Woodland scored 10 for Foothill, which led 31-25 at halftime.
David McKeever led Rancho with 16 points. Ryan Hafen had 11 points, and Kenneth Smith scored 10 for the Rams.
Valley 85, Silverado 46 — At Valley, Taveon Jackson led five players in double-figures with 18 points, and the Vikings routed the Skyhawks.
Nick Brannon, Darrion Daniels and Shea Garland each finished with 12 points for Valley, and teammate Cameron Burton scored 10.
Matthew Arnold and Michael Larson had 10 points apiece for Silverado.
Las Vegas 86, Liberty 35 — At Las Vegas, Patrick Savoy scored 30 points, all in the first three quarters, to help the Wildcats rout the Patriots.
Devon Colley added 21 points, and Will Loche scored 12 for Las Vegas, which led only 20-16 after one quarter.
Ed O’Bannon led Liberty with 16 points.
Desert Oasis 77, Cimarron-Memorial 49 — At Desert Oasis, Aamondae Coleman led three double-figure scorers with 17 points as the Diamondbacks cruised by the Spartans.
Daron Fuglesten had 14 points and seven rebounds, and Drevin Cannon scored 11 for Desert Oasis, which led 46-24 at halftime.
Terrell Walker led Cimarron with 16 points.
Centennial 75, Bonanza 50 — At Centennial, Troy Brown had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Darrian Traylor added 20 points and nine rebounds as the Bulldogs raced past the Bengals.
Roy Sparks supplied 14 points for Centennial, which led 43-26 at halftime. The Bulldogs outrebounded Bonanza, 43-25.
Jamal Logan led Bonanza with 12 points.
Word of Life 73, Lake Mead 54 — At Lake Mead, Trent McCall drained six 3-pointers and had 26 points to lead Word of Life by Lake Mead.
Caleb Murphy added 24 points, and Jarrett Fisher scored 10 for Word of Life, which led 38-21 at the half.
Dylan Graham paced Lake Mead with 23 points, and teammate Trey Vetter scored 16.
Quest Academy 60, Adelson School 43 — At Heinrich YMCA, David Vasquez tallied 17 points to help the Knights down the Lions.
Jesus Rojo added 10 points for Quest Academy.
Jake Buchman had 14 points, and Rom Izkovich scored 10 for Adelson School.
