WRESTLING: Valenti, Gators overpower Rams

Anthony Valenti pinned his opponent in 47 seconds in the 285-pound division Thursday to lead Green Valley’s wrestling team to a 66-6 win over visiting Rancho in a Southeast League meet.

Daniel Brathor (106), Wallace Zernich (126), Sean Cannon (132), Jiar Meagher (160), Jared Temple (182) and Cade Van Orden all won by fall for Green Valley, which also benefited from two forfeits.

Joshua Egan (120) and Lash Dean (138) won decisions for Rancho.

Centennial 58, Bonanza 9 — At Centennial, Rosden Mokiao (126), Tucker Edwards (132), Brett Giles (152), John Lessner (160) and Rory Martorello (285) each pinned their opponent as the Bulldogs routed the Bengals in a Northwest League meet.

Ruben Hernandez (138) recorded the only pin for Bonanza.

Arbor View 72, Desert Oasis 3 — At Arbor View, Dalton Eickhoff (106), Tyler Ramos (120), Dawson Downing (132), Tyler Roper (145), Matthew Alejandro (160), Mike Sims (170) and Alex Espinosa (220) all won by fall as the Aggies rolled the Diamondbacks in a Northwest League meet.

Arbor View also won four matches by forfeit.

Desert Oasis’ Ryan Knipp (182) defeated Alex Sims 7-0 to supply the Diamondbacks’ only points.

Foothill 51, Eldorado 22 — At Foothill, the Falcons won five matches by fall to top the Sundevils.

Damian Ortega (138), Robert Merritt (170), Angel Camacho (182), Charles Atkerson (195) and Joshua Ozuna (220) each recorded a pin for Foothill.

Eldorado’s Jordan Lewis (152) had the lone pin for the Sundevils.
