BOYS BASKETBALL: Littles, Falcons outlast Gators in triple OT

Torrance Littles finished with 29 points, and Kevin Woodland added 28 points as Foothill’s boys basketball team pulled away in the third overtime for a 103-88 victory over host Green Valley on Tuesday.

Jeron Bodin had 15 points, and Colin Curi scored 13 for the Falcons.

Romello Jones paced the Gators with 27 points, including 10 in the second quarter. Brandon Burke, Kris Nicholas and Kelvin Omojola had 13 points apiece for Green Valley, which entered the fourth quarter trailing, 55-45.

Burke hit three 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter to help send the game to overtime. The teams were tied at 86 at the end of the second OT before the Falcons outscored Green Valley 17-2 the rest of the way.

Littles had five points in the third overtime, and Te’Vion Reed finished with 10 points for Foothill. Woodland had 12 points in the second quarter to help stake the Falcons to a 33-31 halftime advantage.

Xavier Jarvis tallied 10 points for the Gators.

Rancho 55, Basic 53 — At Basic, Lamont Traylor scored 16 points to help the Rams outlast the Wolves.

Kenneth Smith added 12 points for Rancho, which led by 16 points with 5½ minutes to play before Basic rallied to tie the game with 30 seconds left.

Rancho hit two free throws to take the lead, and a potential game-winning 3-pointer by Basic’s Josh Villaros fell away at the buzzer.

Robert Sutton had 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Villaros scored 14 for the Wolves, who also got 11 points from Matthew Esplin.

Coronado 61, Eldorado 42 — At Eldorado, Nick Kornieck had 24 points to lift the Cougars by the Sundevils.

Matt Johnson added 10 points for Coronado, which outscored Eldorado 37-24 in the second half.

Shane Barnes scored 13 for Eldorado.

Canyon Springs 98, Silverado 80 — At Canyon Springs, Jordan Davis poured in 42 points as the Pioneers outran the Skyhawks.

Laymon Jackson and D’Angelo Brown added 10 points apiece for Canyon Springs, which led 50-35 at halftime.

Jireh Johnson led Silverado with 22 points. Quentin McKoy had 16 points, Michael Larson supplied 12 points and Matthew Arnold scored 11 for Silverado.

Bonanza 66, Arbor View 52 — At Arbor View, Jamal Logan scored 21 of his 29 points in the second half as the Bengals used a 41-27 run to close out the Aggies.

DaVonta Price added 20 points for Bonanza.

Trent Hunt led Arbor View with 21 points.

Centennial 75, Desert Oasis 53 — At Desert Oasis, Troy Brown had 22 points, and Isaiah Banks scored 18 to help the Bulldogs cruise past the Diamondbacks.

Darrian Traylor added 16 points for Centennial, which led 50-29 at halftime.

Deric Hammock had 12 points, and Aamondae Coleman scored 10 for Desert Oasis.

Calvary Chapel 65, Mountain View 34 — At Calvary Chapel, Matthew Harney had 30 points and 21 rebounds as the Lions routed the Saints.

Killian Diers added 12 points, and Cameron Varela scored 10 for Calvary Chapel, which led 35-13 at the half.

Connor LeBoeuf led Mountain View with 10 points.

Agassi Prep 74, Lake Mead 33 — At Lake Mead, Deishuan Booker poured in 33 points as the Stars routed the Eagles.

Akeemis Williams scored 11 points, and Dennis Walker added nine points for Agassi Prep, which raced out to a 39-12 halftime lead.

Dylan Graham had 10 points to lead Lake Mead.

Spring Mountain 75, Adelson School 63 — At Adelson, Steve Jones scored 24 of his game-high 37 points in the first half as the Golden Eagles topped the Lions.

Maurice Stitt had 20 points, and Shakori Clark scored 10 for Spring Mountain, which led 41-18 at halftime.

Jake Buchman recorded 16 points, Rom Izkovich added 15 points and Brandon Pappas scored 11 for Adelson School.

Needles 51, Laughlin 34 — At Laughlin, Trenton Poe-Evans scored 19 points as the Mustangs ran past the Cougars.

Victor Ochoa and Devin Darrow added nine points each for Needles, which trailed 10-9 after one quarter but outscored Laughlin 15-5 in the second period.

Corey Anderson led Laughlin with 14 points.

Sandy Valley 41, Indian Springs 19 — At Indian Springs, James Rau had 13 points, and the Sidewinders used a big first-quarter run to down the Thunderbirds.

Logan Shelton added eight points for Sandy Valley, which led 26-4 after the opening eight minutes.

Ty White had six points for Indian Springs.
