FLAG FOOTBALL: Franco, Wildcats roll over visiting Vikings

Paulina Franco threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns Wednesday to help Las Vegas High’s flag football team roll to a 25-0 win over visiting Valley.

Alexis Benpard caught five passes for 132 yards and a score for the Wildcats.

Shadow Ridge 35, Sierra Vista 15 — At Shadow Ridge, Maelle Vilon rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on 20 attempts to lead the Mustangs by the Mountain Lions.

Victoria Tolle completed 10 of 15 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns, including a scoring strike to Samantha Milanovich, for Shadow Ridge.

Desert Pines 12, Sunrise Mountain 7 — At Desert Pines, Tavasha Banks rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, and Raina Trujillo ran for a score as the Jaguars edged the Miners.

Durango 39, Spring Valley 32 — At Spring Valley, Amanda Maloney threw five touchdown passes and ran for two scores as the Trailblazers outlasted the Grizzlies.

Maloney completed 19 of 28 passes for 217 yards for Durango.

Kiana-Capri Wilcox caught two touchdowns for the Trailblazers, who also got a TD reception from Alexis Villanueva.

Amberlynn Twigg tossed three touchdown passes and ran for two scores for Spring Valley. Michaela Hood, Danielle Lopez and Raven Strid-Pena each caught a TD pass for the Grizzlies.

Silverado 40, Liberty 12 — At Liberty, the Skyhawks downed the Patriots.

Pualani Tuika caught two touchdown passes for Liberty.

Legacy 26, Palo Verde 7 — At Palo Verde, Aujaneh Jackson rushed for a touchdown and caught one of Nicole White’s two touchdown passes as the Longhorns downed the Panthers.

Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 116 yards on 16 carries and caught a TD pass for Legacy. Tavia Wells returned an interception for a touchdown for the Longhorns.

Del Sol 25, Canyon Springs 6 — At Canyon Springs, the Dragons defeated the Pioneers.

Cheyenne 31, Moapa Valley 6 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields topped the Pirates.
