UNLV gets commitments from two Bishop Gorman offensive linemen in class of 2016

UNLV got started early on its 2016 recruiting class, picking up commitments from two Bishop Gorman High School offensive linemen.
Jaron Caldwell (6 feet 3 inches, 290 pounds) and Julio Garcia (6-2, 290) tweeted that they had committed to play football for the Rebels.
Both played for first-year UNLV coach Tony Sanchez at Gorman. Sanchez led the Gaels to their sixth consecutive state championship last season before taking the UNLV job in December.
He quickly assembled a coaching staff and put together a promising initial recruiting class, especially given the late start. Now with a year to put together a second class, Sanchez isn’t wasting time.
UNLV often doesn’t pick up any commitments until at least the summer, and many times the program doesn’t receive its first commitment until the fall. Winning programs such as Boise State usually are more aggressive in trying to secure early commitments.
