BOYS TRACK: Scoville, Benham each win two field events to lift Diamondbacks

Seth Scoville and Nick Benham each won two field events Tuesday to help host Desert Oasis’ boys track team to victory in a three-team meet.
The Diamondbacks had 106 points. Cimarron-Memorial had 71, followed by Calvary Chapel (3).
Scoville won the long jump with a mark of 21 feet and took the triple jump (40-6½), and Benham won the shot put (44-9) and discus (130-6).
Cimarron’s Savigon McIver swept the hurdles, winning the 110-meter in 16.3 seconds and the 300 in 43.4.
Crusaders win three-team meet
At Faith Lutheran, Chase Wood and Paul Stephens each won one individual event and finished second in another to help the Crusaders win a three-team meet.
Faith Lutheran had 89½ points. Del Sol was second with 81½, followed by Western with 11.
Wood won the 400 in 53.3, and finished second to Stephens in the 800.
Stephens’ winning time was 2:08.9. He also took second in the 1,600.
Del Sol’s Jonathan Spearman won the high jump (6-0) and long jump (19-11).
Gorman tops Legacy
At Bishop Gorman, Tyjon Lindsey, Jacob Holland and Ethan Palelei each won two events to lead the Gaels to a 128-54 win over Legacy.
Lindsey won the 100 in 11.28 and the 300 hurdles in 38.88. Holland took the 800 in 2:05.6 and the 3,200 in 11:38.66, and Palelei won the discus (135-1) and shot put (44-6).
Legacy’s James Smith won the long jump (21-3) and triple jump (42-7).
Bulldogs win home meet
At Centennial, Anyah Nutter won three events, and Dajour Braxton dominated the 800 and 1,600 to lead Centennial to victory in a four-team meet.
The Bulldogs had 144 points to top Arbor View (114½), Spring Mountain (10) and Quest Academy (5½).
Nutter claimed wins in the 110 hurdles (15.2), the 300 hurdles (39.4) and the high jump (6-2).
Braxton won the 800 in 1:55.4, and the 1,600 in 4:18.4.
Arbor View’s Elijah Clark was first in the 100 (11.4) and 200 (22.5).
