GOLF: McKay, Lee lead Cougars to Southeast League win

Grant McKay and Wonsuk Lee each shot a 5-over-par 77 at Black Mountain on Thursday to help Coronado’s boys golf team to victory in a Southeast League match.

The Cougars, who also got a 78 from Aaron Knief, had a team score of 398. Green Valley was second at 406, followed by Basic (414) and Foothill (416).

Foothill’s Andrew Chu also shot 77.

Green Valley’s Mason Comastro carded a 78.

Lalli, Gaels edge Shadow Ridge

At Painted Desert, Anthony Lalli carded a 1-under 35 to lead Bishop Gorman to a 213-219 win over Shadow Ridge.

Dominic Grisingher added a 39 for the Gaels.

Tanner Johnson shot 39 for the Mustangs.

Centennial downs Bonanza

At Canyon Gate, Alec Vega carded a 3-over 39 to help Centennial to a 208-330 win over Bonanza.

Dillon Gault added a 41, and Joshua James shot 42 for the Bulldogs.
