Saints’ Horita fourth at midway point of Division III state golf
Mountain View’s Kristine Horita is in fourth place after the first round of the Division III state golf tournament in Carson City.
Horita shot a 31-over-par 103 at Eagle Valley East on Monday.
Incline’s Devi Myers shot an opening-round 79 to lead by eight strokes over teammate Kennedy Cohn. Incline’s Christine Schwartz is third at 100.
Round Mountain’s Raquel Damian is ninth after carding a 111.
Incline also leads the team competition with a score of 375. Wells is second at 464, followed by Battle Mountain at 486.
The tournament concludes Tuesday.
