VOLLEYBALL: Beaver helps Falcons top Rancho

Christina Beaver notched 49 assists, 16 digs and seven kills on Thursday, and teammate Olivia Stet added 16 kills and 12 digs to lead Foothill’s girls volleyball team to a 30-32, 25-13, 25-22, 25-22 victory over visiting Rancho.

Rebecca Hill had 11 kills, 11 digs and six aces, and Elizabeth Rosenberg added 11 kills and five blocks for the Falcons, who got 10 kills from Tessa Michalosky.

Rancho’s Serenity Sivongsa had 28 assists and 13 digs. Danielle Carino contributed 26 digs and 10 kills, and teammate Kayla Coles added 14 digs and nine kills for the Rams.

Centennial 3, Silverado 1 — At Centennial, Kjersten Saunders had 15 kills, 24 digs and four aces to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-14, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19 victory over the Skyhawks.

Talie Bonds added nine kills and nine digs, and Hannah Hitchcock had 21 assists and eight digs for Centennial, which got six kills from Katie Frazier.

Sydney Berenyi led Silverado with 19 kills and six digs. Mackenzie Carter added seven kills and 16 digs, and teammate Emma Wenthe had 20 digs for the Skyhawks.

Moapa Valley 3, Chaparral 1 — At Overton, Cheyenne Leavitt had 17 digs, seven kills and four aces to propel the Pirates to a 20-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-9 comeback win over the Cowboys.

Cheyenne Leavitt added 23 digs and four aces for Moapa Valley.

Bishop Gorman 3, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Alexis Bradford had 23 assists and five blocks to lead the Gaels to a 25-23, 25-7, 25-22 win over the Longhorns.

Victoria Ewalefo put down 15 kills, and Ali Nielsen added 14 digs for Gorman. Abby Archambault and Vashti Cunningham each added eight kills for the Gaels.

Xaven Jesser had five kills and four digs to lead Legacy. Markell Reilly added four kills, and Jorden Yamaguchi had seven digs for the Longhorns.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Coronado, Berkeley Oblad had 11 kills, three aces and three blocks to help the Cougars to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-19 win over the Wolves.

Nikki Jackson had seven kills and three aces, and Emily Bender added eight kills for Coronado, which got 36 assists from Cali Thompson and 12 digs from Sabrina Lyen.

Christina Kelley led Basic with four kills, six assists and three digs, and Autumn Philipczyk and Kim Austin each added four kills for the Wolves.

Green Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Carlee Becker supplied 10 assists and four kills to lead the Gators to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 sweep of the Sundevils.

Rachel Klopfer notched six digs and five kills, and Julia Carlson had six kills for Green Valley.

Anya Olsen had 18 digs and five blocks, and Abigail Olsen added 11 assists and six digs for Eldorado, which got five kills and five blocks from Tori Stark.

Palo Verde 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Makenzie Paulk had 29 assists to guide the Panthers to a 25-23, 25-21, 25-10 victory over the Trailblazers.

Faryn Duncan had 36 digs, and Kendall Cheval added 10 kills for Palo Verde.

Sabrina Close had 19 digs and 12 assists, and Carly Taylor tallied nine kills and nine digs for Durango, which got 17 kills from Jordan Myers.

Boulder City 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Boulder City, Jaden Wood had five kills and four aces to lead the Eagles past the Miners, 25-20, 25-20, 25-17.

Lauren Pocius had six kills and three aces, and Samantha Hanson had three kills and five aces for Boulder City, which got six kills from Maggie Roe.

Whykella Haley had three kills, four aces and four blocks to lead Sunrise Mountain.

Legacy Lane added two kills and two aces, and Vanessa Amaya had 10 assists and one block for the Miners.

Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Bernice Fiso had eight kills and two aces to lead the Bulldogs past the Dragons, 30-28, 25-12, 25-14.

Janella Fiso had 20 assists and three aces, and Kaydee Bingham added seven kills and four digs for Virgin Valley. Emma Barnum had seven kills and three assists, and teammate Jasmine Pulver had eight digs for the Bulldogs.

Christy Patinio had 28 digs to lead the Dragons.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Tech, Katherine Hernandez had seven kills, two aces and five blocks to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-12, 25-22, 25-12 victory over the Jaguars.

Jasmine Ramos had four aces and six digs, and Madison White had six kills and two aces for Tech. Clarissa Szluha had 12 assists, and teammate Samantha Backman had five kills, nine assists and three aces for the Roadrunners.

Rocio Sanchez had four digs to lead Desert Pines, which got two blocks from Brianna Fitzgerald.

Agassi Prep 2-2, Laughlin 1-1 — At Agassi Prep, Darayon Moore had a total of 28 digs as the Stars took two matches from the Cougars.

Lovely Glinton added five solo blocks for Agassi Prep, which won 25-16, 21-25, 15-4 and 24-26, 25-17, 16-14.
