GIRLS SOCCER: Kornieck, Cougars top Gators for third time this season

Taylor Kornieck had a goal and an assist on Monday to lift Coronado’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting Green Valley.
Chynna Zurflueh added a goal for the Cougars, and Rachel Morris made three saves to get the shutout.
Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, the Mustangs scored three first-half goals to top the Trailblazers.
Crystal Adame, Cameron Grant and Danika Shupe each scored a goal for Shadow Ridge.
Goalkeeper Jenna Gallagher had two saves in the shutout.
Del Sol 4, Boulder City 0 — At Del Sol, Estefany Gonzalez-Vargas had two goals as the Dragons defeated the Eagles.
Astrid Rodriguez added a goal and an assist, and Angelique Deittrick scored a goal for Del Sol.
Goalkeeper Noa Bowie got the shutout.
Spring Valley 4, Western 2 — At Spring Valley, Janis Martinez-Ortiz and Samantha Meyers each scored twice to lead the Grizzlies to the win over the Warriors.
Ellyson Reynada had both goals for Western.
Rancho 0, Basic 0 — At Basic, the Rams and Wolves played to a scoreless draw.
Rancho’s Deisy Puga and Basic’s Bryanna Johnason were credited with the shutouts.
Foothill 4, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Rae Burrell scored two goals as the Falcons downed the Sundevils.
Katherine Ballou and Rachel Neff each added a goal for Foothill.
Kimberly Tapia scored for Eldorado.
Desert Pines 0, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Jaguars and Miners played to a scoreless draw.
Sunrise Mountain’s Joselina Sosa and Desert Pines’ Martha Gandarilla were in goal for the shutouts.
Palo Verde 1, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Bishop Gorman, both teams scored in the first half and played to a tie.
Mackenzie Nogues scored for Palo Verde and Hannah Lee scored for Bishop Gorman.
Virgin Valley 4, Moapa Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum scored twice off corner kicks and had an assist to lead the Bulldogs by the Pirates.
Dalylah Chavez and Shantel Galindo also scored for Virgin Valley.
Spencer Green made two saves en route to the shutout.
Tech 10, Chaparral 0 — At Tech, Abrana Wielgosiak scored six goals and had an assist as the Roadrunners blasted the Cowboys.
Adriana Guzman added a goal and two assists for the Roadrunners. Myan Lang and Stephanie Rodriguez each had a goal and and assist, and Daisy Flores scored a goal for Tech.
Monica Figerora had two assists for the Roadrunners.
Goalkeeper Estephania Perez stopped three shots to preserve the shutout.
