VOLLEYBALL: Eagles clinch Sunrise League title after defeating Pirates

Maggie Roe had 10 kills, and Tara Cox dished out 25 assists Wednesday to help Boulder City’s girls volleyball team clinch the Sunrise League title with a 17-25, 25-23, 25-10, 25-16 win over visiting Moapa Valley.

Emma Jeppsen and Jaden Wood each had eight kills, and Bayden Huxford had 14 digs for the Eagles.

Cheyenne Leavitt had nine kills and five aces for the Pirates.

Bishop Gorman 3, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Gorman, Vashti Cunningham had 22 kills, and Victoria Ewalefo added 16 kills and three blocks as the Gaels outlasted the Mustangs, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Sydney Labato had 22 assists, four aces and two blocks, and Alexis Bradford had four kills, 20 assists and two blocks for Gorman, which got 18 digs and two aces from Hailey Kraft.

Ashley Smith had 19 kills and four aces, and Eadara Files had 45 assists and 18 digs for Shadow Ridge, which got 38 digs from Caitlin Pascal.

Basic 3, Rancho 1 — At Basic, Kim Austin had 13 kills, three blocks and 33 digs to lead the Wolves to a 19-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-18 win over the Rams.

Kali Weires notched eight kills, seven digs and four blocks for Basic, and teammate Christina Kelley added five kills, 21 assists and three blocks.

Rancho’s Kayla Coles recorded eight kills, four aces and 12 digs, and Serenity Sivongsa had 10 assists, nine digs and two aces for the Rams, who also got five kills, six digs and three aces from Karime Raygoza.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Kayla Enderle dished out 15 assists to lead the Cowboys to a 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 25-22 win over the Miners.

Monique Long had seven kills, and Abigail Delgado added six aces for Chaparral.

Vanessa Amaya had 19 assists, and Ayla Diaz supplied six kills for Sunrise Mountain, which got five kills from Whykella Haley.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Christina Beaver dished out 22 assists to lead the Falcons to a 25-18, 22-25, 25-13 25-18 win over the Sundevils.

Tessa Michalosky had eight kills, and Rebecca Hill and Olivia Stet each provided seven kills for Foothill.

Abigail Olsen supplied 40 assists and nine digs, and Kiana Parkes had 23 digs for Eldorado, which got nine kills from Mariah Vela.

Coronado 3, Green Valley 0 — At Coronado, Nikki Jackson and Berkeley Oblad each had 13 kills to lead the Cougars to a 26-24, 25-20, 25-11 victory over the Gators.

Cali Thompson added 48 assists, two kills and two digs, and teammate Navi Lee had 10 digs for Coronado.

Julia Carlson had nine kills and two blocks to pace Green Valley. Rachel Klopfer added eight kills and eight digs, and Carlee Becker had 16 assists, three kills and three digs for the Gators.

Virgin Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Mesquite, Janella Fiso had 12 assists and eight aces, and Emma Barnum added 11 kills to help the Bulldogs sweep the Roadrunners, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Bernice Fiso had seven kills and four aces, and Jasmine Pulver had seven digs for Virgin Valley.

Clarissa Szluha had 15 assists, and A’Nae Lewis had six kills for Tech, which got three kills and three digs from Samantha Backman.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Samantha Remer recorded 17 kills, 10 digs and four aces, and Lexia Brockett dished out 23 assists as the Wildcats swept the Vikings, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Lauren Felipe added 11 digs and three aces for Las Vegas.

Chantelle Rigby had eight kills, three blocks and two aces for Valley. JeCori Gladney had seven assists, three kills and two digs, and Brittanie Jordan supplied seven kills, two digs and two blocks for the Vikings.

Palo Verde 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Makenzie Paulk had 31 assists and 11 digs, and Faryn Duncan tallied 22 digs as the Panthers swept the Longhorns 25-9, 25-19, 25-15.

Kendall Cheval notched 10 kills and eight digs, and Aaliah Largusa supplied six kills for Palo Verde.

Ashly Goor had seven kills, six digs and two blocks, and Hannah Bennett added three blocks and two kills for Legacy.

Del Sol 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Del Sol, Christy Patinio had 27 digs to guide the Dragons to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-13 sweep of the Jaguars.

Azhwalaee Oliver supplied five kills for Del Sol, and teammate Diana Hilton added five aces.

Rocio Sanchez and Paola Espino each had four kills to lead Desert Pines.
