Seven SLAM Academy wrestlers won individual titles to help the Bulls win their third straight boys team title Friday. SLAM Academy also claimed the girls title.
The Nevada high school wrestling state meet is being held in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Friday. It should allow all the qualifiers to compete in one venue.
Nevada high school state championships aren’t exclusive to just teams in the Silver State. Six out-of-state schools compete athletically for state titles against Nevada schools.

Bishop Gorman won its first team wrestling state championship by winning the Class 4A title by half a point over Palo Verde on Saturday.
SLAM Academy rolled to is second consecutive Class 5A state wrestling team title in Winnemucca. Five Bulls won individual titles.
Here is the All-Southern Nevada wrestling team. SLAM Nevada’s Zach Hocker and Jake Rollans are Co-Coaches of the Year after leading the Bulls to the 5A state title.
SLAM Nevada had six individual winners en route to the Class 5A state wrestling championship Saturday. The Bulls were second at the 3A state meet in 2020.
