TENNIS: Spartan girls nip Wildcats in tiebreaker

Sydnie Roberts and Vivien Ross went 3-0 in doubles Friday, and Cimarron-Memorial’s girls tennis team won four of six tiebreaker games to nip visiting Las Vegas, 10-9.

Justine Felix and Makenna Osborne each went 2-1 in singles for the Spartans.

Karla Torrez was 3-0 in singles for the Wildcats.

Legacy 10, Shadow Ridge 8 — At Legacy, the doubles teams of Mary Montgomery and Raizel Yankaway, Avi’Ana Shelton and Ananya Chauhan, and Taylor Berkabile and Loren Jensen all went 3-0 to help the Longhorns edge the Mustangs.

Marta Albanese was 3-0 in singles for Shadow Ridge.

Bonanza 12, Silverado 6 — At Bonanza, Lauren Smith was 2-0 in singles to lead the Bengals by the Skyhawks.

Shally Matlovic and Emma Nelson were 2-0 in doubles, and Lake Luther and Ashlee McKenna were 2-1 in doubles for Bonanza.

Criszelle Castro was 2-0 in singles for Silverado.

Basic 11, Eldorado 7 — At Eldorado, the doubles teams of Winnie Feng and Rachel Snyder, and Valerie Muhr and Charlotte Skaflestad both went 3-0 to help the Wolves outlast the Sundevils.

Eldorado’s Cheyenne Delicate and Melissa Guerrero each went 3-0 singles.

Coronado 10, Rancho 8 — At Coronado, Nikoletta Nikoloff was 2-0 in singles as the Cougars nipped the Rams.

Megan Sloan and Rosalyn Ngo each went 2-1 in singles for Rancho.

Clark 11, Centennial 7 — At Centennial, Paige Smith was 2-0 in singles as the Chargers topped the Bulldogs.

Desert Pines 12, Tech 6 — At Tech, Ashley Palacios was 3-0 in singles to lead the Jaguars by the Roadrunners.

Desert Oasis 13, Valley 5 — At Desert Oasis, Steffi Del Rosario and Stephanie Parlade each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Diamondbacks by the Vikings.

Megan Jones and Olivia Jensen were 3-0 in doubles for Valley.

Boulder City 14, Del Sol 4 — At Boulder City, the doubles teams of Natalia Fullmer and Iris Meijer, and McKenna Frazier and Kyra Yamamoto both went 3-0 to send the Eagles past the Dragons.

Green Valley 14, Foothill 4 — At Foothill, Racquel Holder was 3-0 in singles to help the Gators top the Falcons.

Chaparral 15, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys downed the Miners.

Bishop Gorman 17, Durango 1 — At Durango, the Gaels defeated the Trailblazers.

Eldorado 10, Basic 8 — At Eldorado, Trevor Swain, Jacob Sedillo and David Decker each went 3-0 in singles as the Sundevils nipped the Wolves.

Basic’s doubles teams of Tanner Roundy and Thomas Romero, and Logan Green and Trever Berg both went 3-0.

Bonanza 9, Silverado 7 — At Bonanza, Andy Stephenson and Cyrus Nelson each went 2-0 in singles as the Bengals edged the Skyhawks.

Ryan Pappas and R.J. Berdago went 2-0 in doubles for Silverado.

Shadow Ridge 10, Legacy 8 — At Legacy, Timothy Payne was 3-0 in singles to help the Mustangs nip the Longhorns.

Willie Valdez went 2-1 in singles for Legacy.

Green Valley 11, Foothill 7 — At Foothill, the Gators downed the Falcons.

Austin Wilson and Lukas Werle were 3-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Del Sol 12, Boulder City 6 — At Boulder City, Alex Walker and Matt Styck went 2-1 in doubles to help the Dragons top the Eagles.

Andre Pappas was 3-0 in singles for Boulder City, and teammate Tanner Montgomery went 2-1.

Desert Pines 12, Tech 6 — At Tech, Oscar Murillo was 3-0 in singles to lead the Jaguars by the Roadrunners.

Valley 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Desert Oasis, the doubles teams of Chase Fayeghi and Alex Gustilo, and A.J. Duff and Michael Brickell both went 3-0 to help the Vikings top the Diamondbacks.

Marty Heavey was 2-1 in singles for Valley.

Bryce Tacker was 3-0 in singles for Desert Oasis.

Las Vegas 18, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Trey Chauncey and Benjamin Bowen each went 3-0 in singles as the Wildcats swept the Spartans.

Kyle Monton and Trevor Christiansen were 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.
