GOLF: Diamondbacks win Northwest League match

Ashley Malone shot a 9-over-par 81 at Highland Falls Wednesday to share medalist honors and lead Desert Oasis’ girls golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Diamondbacks, who got an 83 from Jasmine Moore, had a team score of 367. Centennial was second at 378, followed by Bonanza at 414.

Arbor View’s Betsy Branton also shot 81.

Gaels win Southwest match

At Badlands, Megan Orgad shot a 7-over 79 to lead Bishop Gorman to victory in a Southwest League match.

The Gaels had a team score of 330. Shadow Ridge was second at 375, followed by Palo Verde at 409.

Shadow Ridge’s Allison Weiderman was the medalist with a 77.

Gorman’s Danielle Oberlander and Sarah James each shot 82.

Tech takes Sunrise match

At Wildhorse, Tech shot 456 and was the only school to post a team score en route to victory in a Sunrise League match.

Boulder City’s Lani Potter was the medalist with a 7-over 77.

Tech’s Meghan Chase shot 93.
