GIRLS SOCCER: Ballou’s goal lifts Falcons over Diamondbacks

Katherine Ballou scored a second-half goal Monday to help Foothill’s girls soccer team edge visiting Desert Oasis, 1-0.
Marisa Milne made two saves en route to the shutout for the Falcons.
Silverado 1, Palo Verde 1 — At Palo Verde, both teams scored early in the second half and settled for a draw.
Krista Lee netted the Skyhawks’ goal.
Tessa Dwyer scored for the Panthers.
Valley 1, Basic 0 — At Valley, Paige Tarr’s first-half goal accounted for all of the scoring as the Vikings nipped the Wolves.
Ajanique Reece made five saves to earn the shutout for Valley.
Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 2 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had a goal and an assist to help the Gators hold off the Wildcats.
Sydney Holborrow and Maggie Bender also scored for Green Valley.
Cimarron-Memorial 2, Liberty 1 — At Cimarron, Jaymee Luke scored twice as the Spartans edged the Patriots.
Hannah Johnson scored for Liberty.
Centennial 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Victoria Cera scored twice to power the Bulldogs by the Sundevils.
McKenna Stratton also scored for Centennial.
Canyon Springs 5, Durango 0 — At Durango, Josefina Hernandez and Monica Camargo each scored twice as the Pioneers blanked the Trailblazers.
Leticia Godoy added a goal for Canyon Springs.
Coronado 5, Legacy 0 — At Coronado, Michaela Morris had three goals and an assist as the Cougars blanked the Longhorns.
Taylor Houston added two goals and an assist for Coronado.
Rachel Morris and Julia Rude combined on the shutout.
Sunrise Mountain 7, Boulder City 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Brisa Pena-Martinez netted three goals to lead the Miners past the Eagles.
Briana Torres scored twice, and Mireya Lopez and Erika Guerra each added a goal for Sunrise Mountain.
Oshauna Remy scored both goals for Boulder City.
Virgin Valley 7, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Abbie Barnum had two goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs over the Cowboys.
Shantel Galindo scored twice, and Kallie Graves, Taylor Bryant and Kari Wakefield each scored once for Virgin Valley. Stephanny Gasca and Marlene Quirarte each had two assists for the Bulldogs.
Spencer Green made three saves to record the shutout.
Shadow Ridge 8, Bonanza 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Casey Childers, Joey Wright, Sasha Villa and Alexandra Ortega each had a goal and an assist as the Mustangs routed the Bengals.
Ashley Camacho, Lindsay Irwin, Danika Shupe and Brianna Haworth each added a goal for Shadow Ridge.
Jenna Gallagher made four saves to earn the shutout.
Desert Pines 8, Del Sol 0 — At Desert Pines, Jeanna Marin had three goals and two assists, and Mariyah Espinoza added three goals and an assist as the Jaguars downed the Dragons.
Genessis Martinez had two goals and three assists for Desert Pines.
Martha Gandarilla made four saves to earn the shutout.
Arbor View 8, Rancho 0 — At Arbor View, Hannah Esparza had three goals and an assist to lead the Aggies over the Rams.
Asianna Harris scored twice, and Alyssa Drye and Jazmine Corvalan each had a goal and an assist for the Aggies. Isabella Oliva also scored for Arbor View.
Lauren Shoughro was in goal for the shutout.
Tech 10, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Abrana Wielgosiak had five goals and an assist as the Roadrunners routed the Pirates.
Adriana Guzman had two goals and four assists, and Stephanie Newman scored twice for Tech.
Melissa Lopez added a goal, and Maria Garcia-Silva recorded two assists for the Roadrunners
Makayla Jackson scored for Moapa Valley.
