TENNIS: Michals goes perfect in singles, Longhorns’ boys top Mustangs

Austin Michals went 3-0 in singles Wednesday to help Legacy’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 win at Shadow Ridge.
Devin Garrett and Diego Portillo were 3-0 in doubles for the Longhorns.
Foothill 10, Basic 8 — At Foothill, Kirk Peralta and Teodor Drabicki each went 3-0 in singles to help the Falcons edge the Wolves.
Trever Berg and Logan Green went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.
Liberty 13, Valley 5 — At Valley, Kevin Bloomquist went 3-0 in singles to help the Patriots down the Vikings.
Del Sol 14, Tech 4 — At Tech, the doubles teams of Jonathon Hart and Alex Walker, and Christian Wallace and Matt Styck both went 3-0 to help the Dragons defeat the Roadrunners.
Christian Valle was 3-0 in singles for Tech.
Moapa Valley 14, Desert Pines 4 — At Desert Pines, Andy Beckstrand was 3-0 in singles to help the Pirates defeat the Jaguars.
Green Valley 15, Rancho 3 — At Green Valley, Gabriel Maulouf and Ben Leiberman went 3-0 in doubles to pace the Gators to a win over the Rams.
Amar Shah and John John each went 2-0 in singles for Green Valley.
Coronado 15, Eldorado 3 — At Coronado, Conner Vermeys went 3-0 in singles to help guide the Cougars past the Sundevils.
Joshua Egbert and Kyle Harris went 3-0 in doubles for Coronado.
Bishop Gorman 16, Durango 2 — At Gorman, the Gaels downed the Trailblazers.
Boulder City 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Boulder City, the Eagles won by forfeit.
GIRLS
Legacy 11, Shadow Ridge 7 — At Shadow Ridge, the Longhorns swept the nine doubles sets to top the Mustangs.
The doubles teams of Maryan Montgomery and Raizel Yankaway, Ananya Chauhan and Avi’Ana Shelton, and Taylor Berkabile and Loren Jensen each finished 3-0 for Legacy.
Foothill 11, Basic 7 — At Foothill, Madison Topham was 3-0 in singles as the Falcons nipped the Wolves.
Winnie Feng and Rachel Snyder went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.
Green Valley 11, Rancho 7 — At Green Valley, Racquel Holder was 2-0 in singles to help the Gators top the Rams.
Elle Johnsong and Olivia Song were 2-0 in doubles for Green Valley.
Rosalyn Ngo went 2-1 in singles for Rancho.
Tech 12, Del Sol 6 — At Tech, Jasmine Thawesee was 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Jasmine Munoz and Andrea Hughey went 3-0 as the Roadrunners beat the Dragons.
Coronado 13, Eldorado 5 — At Coronado, Nikoletta Nikoloff was 3-0 in singles to power the Cougars to a win over the Sundevils.
Avery Swain and Kim Fernandez finished 2-1 in doubles for Eldorado.
Boulder City 15, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Boulder City, Melissa O’Berto and Arianne Hess each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Eagles by the Miners.
The doubles teams of Sariah Gneiting and Alexis LeMaster, Iris Meijer and Natalia Fullmer, and Kyra Yamamoto and McKenna Frazier all went 3-0 for Boulder City.
