GOLF: Penor, Yamamoto lead Cougars to Southeast win

Natalie Yamamoto and Sammy Penor each shot a 2-over-par 74 at Las Vegas Municipal on Monday to help Coronado’s girls golf team win a Southeast League match.

The Cougars, who also got a 79 from Isabella Martinez, had a team score of 308. Green Valley was second at 357. Foothill and Rancho both shot 400.

Green Valley’s Mercedes Khumnark had a 75 to finish third individually. Rancho’s Aubrianna Jordan shot 76 to place fourth.
