GIRLS TENNIS: Ballard, Albanese perfect in singles to lift Mustangs by Pioneers

Ashlynn Ballard and Marta Albanese each went 3-0 in singles Friday to help Shadow Ridge’s girls tennis team to a 13-5 win at Canyon Springs.

The doubles teams of Taylor Dixon and Elyse Wright, and Audrey Arnold and Cally Black also went 3-0 for the Mustangs.

Palo Verde 18, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Annie Walker was 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers by the Bulldogs.

Faith Lutheran 17, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Maya Rawls was 3-0 in singles as the Crusaders topped the Cowboys.

Madison Foley was 2-0 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View 17, Legacy 1 — At Arbor View, Devin Diesko and Catherine Arizmendez each went 3-0 to lead the Aggies over the Longhorns.

The doubles teams of Nicolette D’Arienzo and Chaise Sandoval, and Keara Lawson and Sara Long both went 3-0 for Arbor View.

Desert Pines 14, Cheyenne 4 — At Desert Pines, Ashley Palacios and Cecilia Garcia Leon each went 2-0 in singles to lift the Panthers over the Desert Shields.

Clark 16, Moapa Valley 2 — At Overton, Andrea Busicescu and Paige Smith each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Chargers past the Pirates.

The doubles teams of Elissa Gray and Connie Shen, and Amber Yun and Shirley Wong each went 2-0 for Clark.

Boulder City 11, Sierra Vista 5 — At Boulder City, Melissa O’Berto went 2-1 in singles to send the Eagles by the Mountain Lions.

The Meadows 18, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, the Mustangs swept the Bulldogs.

Sunrise Mountain 12, Western 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Miners won by forfeit.

Tech 12, Spring Valley 0 — At Tech, the Roadrunners won by forfeit.

Liberty 12, Durango 0 — At Liberty, the Patriots won by forfeit.
