SOFTBALL: Lawson’s perfect day at the plate lifts Trailblazers

Mallory Lawson went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs on Saturday to help Durango’s softball team to a 14-4, five-inning win over visiting Mojave.
Brooke Alves was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs for the Trailblazers, who scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
Green Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Samantha Loving tossed a one-hitter with one walk and 10 strikeouts to lead the Gators by the Vikings.
Chelsea Perez was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Green Valley, which scored twice in the first inning.
Desert Oasis 6, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Mary Dungey’s two-run single sparked a five-run seventh inning that helped the Diamondbacks down the Mountain Lions.
Karly Severance had a solo home run, and May Dacquel went 2-for-2 for Desert Oasis.
Shonda Badayos tossed a five-hitter and struck out 11 for the Diamondbacks.
Kalei Watkins was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Sierra Vista.
