GOLF: Savio leads Gators to Northeast League win

Grayson Savio carded a 6-over-par 78 at Las Vegas National on Tuesday to lead Green Valley’s boys golf team to victory in a Northeast League match.

The Gators, who also got a 79 from Nick Riedy and an 80 from Mason Comastro, had a team score of 410. Las Vegas was second with 482, followed by Canyon Springs with 509 and Silverado with 529.

The Wildcats’ Trey Jensen shot 79, and teammate Phoutpane Souksengdao shot 80.

Gaels win Southwest match

At Paiute, Anthony Lalli shot an even-par 72 to help Bishop Gorman to a win in a Southwest League match.

The Gaels, who also got 73s from Owen Rosebeck and Christian James and 75s from Frank Frisbee and Bryce McEachern, shot 368. Centennial was second with 416, followed by Desert Oasis with 468.

Cimarron-Memorial’s Brandon Smith, Centennial’s Matthew Palmer, and Gorman’s Blake Taylor all shot 77.

Magruder, Crusaders win Sunset match

At Aliante, Charlie Magruder shot 1-over 73 to help Faith Lutheran win a Sunset League match.

The Crusaders, who got a 78 from A.J. Johnson and an 81 from Andrew Boka, had a team score of 397. Pahrump Valley was second with 447, followed by Cheyenne with 504.

Pahrump’s Austen Ancell shot 76.
