GOLF: Bauman leads Panthers to Pahrump Valley Invitational title

Brandon Bauman shot 3-under-par 69 on Friday at Mountain Falls to help Palo Verde’s boys golf team rally for the team title at the Pahrump Valley Invitational.

The Panthers trailed Arbor View by one stroke after the first day, but shot 292 on Friday to finish at 586, seven strokes ahead of the Aggies.

Bishop Gorman (601) was third, followed by Jesuit (Ore.) at 603 and Shadow Ridge at 604.

Arbor View’s Sam Dickey won the individual title, shooting 71 on Friday to finish at 139, two shots ahead of Bauman.

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis and Arbor View’s Van Thomas tied for third at 144, and Gorman’s Frank Frisbee was fifth at 145.
