BOYS BASKETBALL: Sharp-shooting Leavitt helps Bulldogs down Sunrise Mountain

Garrett Leavitt hit five 3-pointers and scored 28 points Monday to lead Virgin Valley’s boys basketball team to a 63-51 home win over Sunrise Mountain.
Dee Bowler added 10 points, and DeVonte Milligan had eight points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Damon Heard led the Miners with 22 points, and teammate RoMello Tatum scored 10.
Chaparral 60, Tech 54 — At Chaparral, Tyree McNeal had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the Cowboys over the Roadrunners.
Marc Silas added 14 points, six assists and four steals, and Ben Kirschbaum and Edgar Ramirez each scored 10 points for Chaparral. Richard Nelson added 11 rebounds for the Cowboys.
Elijah Robertson scored 21 points to lead Tech.
Moapa Valley 50, Boulder City 31 — At Overton, Justin Hughes had 16 points to help the Pirates beat the Eagles.
Andrew Huerta added 14 points for Moapa Valley, which led 32-16 at the half.
Marcus Walker led Boulder City with 10 points.
Laughlin 38, Lake Mead 32 — At Lake Mead, the Cougars held the Eagles to 1-for-15 shooting from the field in the third quarter en route to the win.
Quinton Love added 14 points for Laughlin, which trailed 19-12 at the half before outscoring Lake Mead 12-2 in the third quarter.
Dylan Graham scored 12 points for the Eagles, and teammate Brandon LeBaron had eight points and 10 rebounds.
