GIRLS BASKETBALL: Roadrunners hold on to edge Jaguars

Elena Bobadilla, Christine Sweet and Clarissa Szluha each scored eight points Friday as Tech’s girls basketball team held on for a 35-34 road win over Desert Pines.
The Jaguars had a chance to tie the game when Chrystian Myles hit what appeared to be a 3-point shot with seven seconds on the clock. However, the officials ruled her foot was on the 3-point line, which allowed the Roadrunners to hang on for the one-point win.
Myles led Desert Pines with 15 points.
Faith Lutheran 55, Western 44 — At Western, Dani Tharaldson and Alex Wright each scored 12 points as the Crusaders topped the Warriors.
Bobi Tharaldson added 11 points for Faith Lutheran, which used a 19-3 second-quarter run to take a 34-15 halftime lead.
Destiny Gonazalez led Western with 18 points, and teammates Capricia Pierce and Paea Savou each scored 10.
Centennial 65, Legacy 47 — At Centennial, Teirra Hicks had 18 points and 17 rebounds to help the Bulldogs defeat the Longhorns.
Karina Brandon added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Centennial, which led 22-9 after one quarter.
Paige Barber and Tramina Jordan each scored 15 for the Bulldogs.
Carolina Rahkonen and Markeshia Evans each had 14 points to lead Legacy.
Boulder City 59, Sunrise Mountain 35 — At Boulder City, Megan Morton scored 24 points and was 5-for-8 from the free-throw line to boost the Eagles past the Mustangs.
Whitney Barlow added 13 points and 20 rebounds for Boulder City, which led 27-14 at the half.
Brittany Veal had 15 points and was 9-for-14 from the line to lead Sunrise Mountain.
Bishop Gorman 54, Cimarron-Memorial 14 — At Cimarron, Raychel Stanley scored 17 points to lead the Gaels past the Spartans.
Maddison Washington added 13 points for Gorman, which led 24-2 after the first quarter. Sandria Bolden added 10 assists for the Gaels.
Chardonae Alston, Ashli Tyus and Tamya Blackwell had four points apiece for Cimarron.
Bonanza 60, Desert Oasis 45 — At Desert Oasis, Tanganika Hunt scored 35 points to lead the Bengals past the Diamondbacks.
Mikala Kirby scored 11 points for Desert Oasis.
Virgin Valley 62, Moapa Valley 40 — At Moapa Valley, Abbie Barnard scored 20 points as the Bulldogs defeated the Pirates.
Spencer Green added 12 points and Becca Bramlage 10 for Virgin Valley.
Matilda Thompson led Moapa Valley with 13 points, and teammate Makayla Jackson scored 11.
Cheyenne 41, Pahrump Valley 24 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields went on a 15-2 second-quarter run to turn a tight game into a blowout victory over the Trojans.
DHari Lomax had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals for Cheyenne. Alexcia Weatherly scored 10 points, and Bria Buchanan added eight points and five rebounds for the Desert Shields.
Jillian Smith had seven points to lead Pahrump.
The Meadows 48, Needles 45 — At The Meadows, Melaney Mayes scored eight of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as The Meadows edged Needles.
Bailey Gosse added 12 points for The Meadows, which outscored Needles 18-14 in the fourth quarter.
Jane Antone led Needles with 13 points.
Indian Springs 26, Round Mountain 22 — At Indian Springs, Cheyanne Noyes scored 10 points to help the Thunderbirds beat the Knights.
Hannah Thormahlen and Baylee McCormick each added six points for Indian Springs, which sealed it with key free throws down the stretch.
Morgan Manley scored 12 points to lead Round Mountain.
Calvary Chapel 44, Lake Mead 22 — At Calvary Chapel, Phallen Nelson scored 20 points to help the Lions roll past the Eagles.
Shannon Regan led Lake Mead with 11 points.
Lincoln County 48, Mountain View 27 — At Mountain View, Heather Harr had nine points as the Lynx routed the Saints.
Lincoln County led 29-5 at the half.
Mountain View’s Kiley Murphy led all scorers with 13 points.
