FLAG FOOTBALL: Late TD pass lifts Virgin Valley over Clark

Jessica Gomez’s touchdown pass to Taylor Bryant with 13 seconds left in the game Tuesday lifted Virgin Valley’s flag football team to a 20-18 win at Clark.

Dylan Bryant and Kennedi Ludvigson ran for touchdowns for the Bulldogs.

Sabrina Luz ran for a score and tossed a touchdown pass to Darian Gambetta for the Chargers, who also got a rushing touchdown from Stephanie Chavez.

Centennial 27, Desert Oasis 21 — At Centennial, Zshalyn Canfield’s 7-yard TD pass to Taylor Reeves in overtime lifted the Bulldogs by the Diamondbacks.

Canfield completed 18 of 32 passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns, including two scoring passes to Reeves, who had five catches for 51 yards.

Tiana Bonds caught nine passes for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Brittany Karst added a receiving TD for Centennial.

Desert Oasis’ Kylee Bauer completed 36 of 57 passes for 309 yards and two TDs. Sydni Aldan caught seven passes for 76 yards and a touchdown, and Briana Viloria made four catches for 29 yards and a score for the Diamondbacks, who also got a rushing TD from Kayla Saucedo.

Western 33, Mojave 18 — At Mojave, Alejandra Alvarez had two touchdown receptions in the first half to lift the Warriors over the Rattlers.

Kassidy Pahia also had two TD receptions for Western, and teammate Larissa Herrera rushed for a score.

Kimberly Gonzalez rushed for a score and caught a TD pass for Mojave.

Foothill 13, Basic 6 — At Basic, Sam Fennell passed for 155 yards and provided a rushing touchdown to guide the Falcons to victory over the Wolves.

Korina Bush added a rushing TD for Foothill, which got 83 yards receiving from Emily Russell.

Coronado 13, Eldorado 6 — At Coronado, Heaven Lucero ran for a touchdown to help the Cougars top the Sundevils.

Jillian James had a receiving touchdown for Coronado.

Legacy 39, Bonanza 20 — At Bonanza, Shardell Purdy tossed three touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Longhorns downed the Bengals.

Purdy completed 10 of 11 passes for 154 yards. Klarisah Harris had three receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns, and Avi'Ana Shelton ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries for Legacy.

Cheyenne Crouch scored on runs of 12, 10, and 1 yard for Bonanza.
