GOLF: McKay, Cougars top Gators

Grant McKay shot par 36 at Legacy on Thursday to help Coronado’s boys golf team to a 192-206 win over Green Valley at Legacy.

Travis Dickens added a 37, and Michael Alvarez shot 38 for the Cougars, who got a 39 from Bradley Keyer.

Grayson Savio led the Gators with a 39.

Palo Verde tops Foothill

At Badlands, Brandon Bauman shot par 36 to lead Palo Verde to a 190-226 win over Foothill.

Bradley Collet shot 37, and Joseph Ender added a 38 for Palo Verde, which got a 39 from Caden Henderson.

Andrew Chu led the Falcons with a 39.

Faith Lutheran rolls to victory

At Mountain Falls, Charlie Magruder shot a 2-under 70 to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a seven-team meet.

The Crusaders had a team score of 392. Boulder City was second at 434, three strokes better than Needles. Pahrump Valley took fourth at 443.

Dallas Haun and A.J. Johnson each added a 76 for the Crusaders.

Desert Oasis’ Syouta Wakisaka and Needles’ Zarek Phillips each shot 76.

Centennial tops Bonanza

At Canyon Gate, Joshua James shot 1-over 36 to help Centennial to a 224-285 victory over Bonanza.

Allen Fleegle added a 43 for the Bulldogs, and teammate Alex Vegas shot 44.

Jacob Mabey led the Bengals with a 47.
