BOYS SOCCER: Ruffer, Panthers shut out Trailblazers

Eli Ruffer had a goal and two assists Wednesday to help Palo Verde’s boys soccer team to a 5-0 victory over visiting Durango.

Nolan Sherwood, Dylan Obata, Powell Naylor and Matt Thomas also scored for the Panthers.

Nishesh Yadev made four saves en route to the shutout.

Del Sol 3, Basic 2 — At Del Sol, Carlos Guevera scored the winning goal with three minutes left to lift the Dragons over the Wolves.

Juan Sequeira added a goal and two assists, and Johan Rodriguez notched a goal for Del Sol.

Ismael Zarko and Ismael Carranza scored for Basic, which got two assists from Carlos Cortez.

Liberty 2, Coronado 1 — At Liberty, Danny Musovski scored two first-half goals, and the Patriots held off the Cougars.

Justin Lyons scored a second-half goal for Coronado.

Shadow Ridge 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Dominic Damato scored twice to power the Mustangs over the Grizzlies.

Guillermo Nava also scored, and Joel Perez had two assists for Shadow Ridge.

Sergio Borboa netted Spring Valley’s goal.

Sierra Vista 2, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Miles McRae scored the go-ahead goal with 10 minutes left to lift the Mountain Lions over the Aggies.

Edwin Martinez also scored for Sierra Vista.

James Drye scored for Arbor View.

Eldorado 2, Foothill 1 — At Eldorado, Chris Perez and Andres Lua each had a goal to help the Sundevils nip the Falcons.

Robert Cowan scored with three minutes left in the match for Foothill.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 1 — At Valley, Roberto Ramos had a goal and an assist, and Ricardo Guzman and Daniel Nunez-Renteria each added a goal to propel the Wildcats past the Vikings.

Jonathan Cerda scored for Valley.

Green Valley 2, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, Kade Kochevar and Enzo Trasante each scored a goal in the Gators’ win over the Rams.

Bryant Peralta made six saves en route to the shutout.

Silverado 6, Canyon Springs 1 — At Silverado, Lucas Tovar scored two goals, and Jacob Holquin and Randy Casas each had a goal and an assist as the Skyhawks defeated the Pioneers.

Xavier Martinez and Eric McLaughlin each had a goal for Silverado, which scored five second-half goals.

Jonathan Martinez scored for Canyon Springs.
