BOYS SOCCER: Garcia’s PK gives Trailblazers tie with Mountain Lions

Victor Garcia converted a penalty kick with 10 minutes left in the second half Thursday to help Durango’s boys soccer team earn a 1-1 tie with visiting Sierra Vista.

Miles McRae scored a first-half goal for the Mountain Lions.

Silverado 3, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Jacob Holquin scored a goal in each half to help the Skyhawks hold off the Gators.

Lucas Tovar converted a penalty kick for Silverado.

Kade Kochevar and Daniel Valdez each scored for Green Valley.

Canyon Springs 4, Valley 3 — At Valley, Gaspar Gonzalez, Victor Blancarte and Jonathan Martinez all scored within a 10-minute span of the second half to help the Pioneers edge the Vikings.

Martinez also had two assists, and Jose Gonzalez added a goal for Canyon Springs.

Eric Sanchez scored twice, and Marco Gonzalez had a goal for Valley.

Las Vegas 2, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Danny Nunez and Enrique Adame scored second-half goals to help the Wildcats top the Rams.

Yosmar Villafana scored for Rancho.

Coronado 1, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Justin Lyons’ goal 10 minutes into the second half allowed the Cougars to tie the Falcons.

Dakota Maack’s first-half goal gave Foothill a 1-0 lead.

Arbor View 2, Spring Valley 0 — At Arbor View, Marcos Ferrer and Alfredo Carrera each scored in the second half to give the Aggies the win over the Grizzlies.

Nathan Bohn made four saves to get the shutout.

Palo Verde 5, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, Nolan Sherwood had three goals and an assist to lead the Panthers over the Mustangs.

Matt Thomas added a goal and an assist, and Eli Ruffer scored once for Palo Verde, which got two assists from Austin Manthey.

Nishesh Yadav had 10 saves to record his eighth shutout.

Eldorado 9, Del Sol 0 — At Eldorado, Chris Perez had five goals and two assists as the Sundevils routed the Dragons.

Israel Hernandez added two goals and an assist, and Gabriel Pedraza had a goal and two assists for Eldorado. Jose Ramos also scored for the Sundevils, who led 6-0 at the half.

Sammy Tapia made five saves to get the shutout.

Liberty 12, Basic 1 — At Liberty, Danny Musovski scored six first-half goals and had two assists as the Patriots blitzed the Wolves.

Joey Hollimon added a goal and three assists, and Adam Musovski and Chandler Prasad each had a goal and an assist for Liberty, which also got goals from Mario Amezquita, Alex Camacho and Cris Maldonado.

Osias Dixon had three assists for the Patriots.
