Navallo scores five TDs, helps Mustangs top Lions

Bryson Navallo rushed for three touchdowns and caught a pair of touchdown passes from Jacob Gleason on Friday to help The Meadows football team to a 35-12 win at Calvary Chapel.

Navallo scored on a 2-yard run in the opening minute of the game and added a 53-yard run early in the second quarter, just after the Lions had taken a 12-7 lead.

Navallo caught TD passes of 40 and 65 yards from Gleason as the Mustangs (5-2, 4-1 Division III Southern) built a 28-12 halftime lead.

Navallo added a TD run in the third quarter and finished with 110 yards on 15 carries. Gleason completed 5 of 11 passes for 186 yards.

Riley Clark completed 20 of 39 passes for 303 yards and a touchdown for Calvary Chapel (1-5, 1-4).
