VOLLEYBALL: Herman, Panthers rally past Shadow Ridge

Stephanie Herman had 46 assists, four kills and 10 digs Wednesday as Palo Verde’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 25-10, 20-25, 24-26, 25-9, 15-8 win at Shadow Ridge.

McCall Phillips had 14 kills and 13 digs, and Kendall Cheval added 12 kills and 10 digs for the Panthers. Lexi Riggs supplied 17 kills, and Faryn Duncan chipped in 35 digs for Palo Verde.

Ashley Smith had 23 kills, and Olivia Denny added 38 assists for the Mustangs.

Spring Valley 3, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Courtney Lance had seven kills, six blocks and three aces, and Rachel Milam added eight kills and eight digs as the Grizzlies outlasted the Aggies, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13.

Nicole Rafay had seven kills and seven digs, and Hannah Karas supplied 18 digs for Spring Valley, which overcame a 10-4 deficit in the final set.

Jenna McClure had 32 assists and four aces, and Tamani Simmons added 19 kills and three blocks for Arbor View, which also got 10 kills and four aces from Hannah Goddard.

Calvary Chapel 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Deja Harris had 33 kills, eight blocks and five digs, and Brooke Davis added 45 assists, three kills and seven digs as the Lions rolled to a 25-22, 24-26, 25-14, 25-23 win over the Wildcats.

Alexis Harris had nine kills and 10 digs, and Noelle Miller supplied five kills for Calvary Chapel.

Samantha Remer paced the Wildcats with 12 kills, 12 digs and two aces, and teammate Charlai Francis added 10 digs. Matti Ventling had 34 assists, and Cierra Turner supplied 16 digs for Las Vegas.

Sierra Vista 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Bailey Bergquist had 17 digs, 12 kills and four aces, and Kira Felise added 36 assists, five digs and two kills to help the Lions sweep the Trailblazers, 25-21, 26-24, 27-25.

Maeganne Cabias provided 30 digs for Sierra Vista.

Trea Ortega had 13 kills, and Kat Jaksic added six kills and four blocks for Durango, which also got 10 digs and three aces from Cayla Cooper.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Cali Thompson racked up 34 assists, six aces, four digs and two kills as the Cougars posted a 25-14, 25-10, 25-5 win over the Dragons.

Taylor Jackson had 10 kills and two aces, and Brooke Garlick added seven kills, three aces and five digs for Coronado, which also got six kills and seven aces from Berkeley Oblad.

Taylor Curtis had four kills and three digs to lead Del Sol. Azhwalaee Oliver added two blocks and four digs, and Sierra Morales supplied 10 digs for the Dragons.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Christina Beaver had 22 assists and six aces to lead the Falcons to a 25-8, 25-13, 25-8 win over the Sundevils.

Sarah Dusenbury had eight kills, and Nicolette White added seven kills for Foothill.

Angela Stoneback had three kills, and Dakota Coombs distributed eight assists for Eldorado, which also got three blocks from Tori Stark.

Chaparral 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Carminda Greenstone had 11 digs, seven kills and three aces, and Hannah Kirschbaum added nine kills and six aces to help the Cowboys to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 sweep of the Bulldogs.

Alejandra Macias added 18 assists and two aces for Chaparral.

Boulder City 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles swept the Miners 25-18, 25-22, 25-18.

Evelyn Lopez had 11 assists, four aces and two kills, and Brittany Veal had seven digs and two kills for Sunrise Mountain, which also got seven digs from Rebecca Ramirez.

Basic 3, Liberty 0 — At Basic, the Wolves were 25-14, 25-14, 26-24 winners over the Patriots.

Reid Morgavi had eight kills and three digs, and Morgan Husli added 17 assists for Liberty.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Roadrunners were 25-19, 25-22, 25-19 winners over the Jaguars.
