VOLLEYBALL: Coles, Carino help Rancho top Valley

Kayla Coles had seven kills and 20 digs, and Danielle Carino added eight kills, four aces and nine digs on Thursday to help Rancho’s girls volleyball team to a 25-20, 24-26, 25-10, 27-25 home win over Valley.

Jordan Williams had four kills and six aces, and Sharisse Nagatori dished out 13 assists for the Rams, who got 11 assists from Monet Wilson.

Gabby Cabanero paced Valley with 16 kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Taylor Sandhu had 26 assists and five digs, and JeCori Gladney supplied eight digs and six aces for the Vikings, who got 12 digs from Ashley Abernathy.

Pahrump Valley 3, Western 1 — At Pahrump, Payton Hart had four kills, and Makayla Davis added six blocks to help the Trojans to a 25-17, 25-13, 24-26, 25-18 win over the Warriors.

Bryana Soliwoda had eight assists for Pahrump.

Destiny Gonzalez paced Western with seven kills and five digs. Paea Sovou had eight assists and two kills, and Capricia Pierce supplied three kills and eight digs for the Warriors.

Clark 3, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Emi Atanoa racked up 11 kills and five aces as the Chargers topped the Rattlers, 25-12, 25-18, 24-26, 25-9.

Victoria Gordon added five kills and four aces, and June Roberts had four kills and four aces for Clark.

Rayena Rael dished out 19 assists, and Carissa Limtiaco supplied seven kills and six digs for Mojave.

Green Valley 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Nikki Drost had 18 kills, six digs and two aces, and Alley Seidler dished out 26 assists to go along with nine digs in the Gators’ 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 win over the Skyhawks.

Shanna Olsen added seven kills and two aces, Bridgette Dwyer had four kills, four blocks and four aces, and Amanda Lake had eight digs and two aces for Green Valley.

Melanie Srok led Silverado with five kills and 11 digs, and Amari Norris chipped in with four kills and four blocks. Quinntana Reid finished with 10 digs, and Morgan Little posted 11 assists and seven digs for the Skyhawks.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, Kristi Farley had five kills, 29 assists and five aces to help the Bulldogs to a 25-5, 25-6, 25-14 win over the Longhorns.

Tiana Bonds added nine kills and two aces, and Nani Padilla-Perez had five kills and four aces for Centennial.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Lexi Bradford had 30 assists, two kills, three aces and two blocks to lead the Gaels to a 25-14, 25-10, 25-10 win over the Diamondbacks.

Francesca Manz and Gianna Ruggeroli each had seven kills, and Shelly Laman had 10 digs and five aces for Gorman, which got five kills and two blocks from Victoria Ewalefo.

Ariel Blockovich had eight assists, and Kaylee Burknicer added three kills and two aces for Desert Oasis.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Cayla Nikodemus had eight kills and four aces, and Megan Kronschnabel added 13 assists, four digs and two aces as the Crusaders swept the Desert Shields, 25-8, 25-8, 25-19.

Nicole Thompson had four digs and two aces for Faith Lutheran.

Esther Durr had six kills, three blocks and two aces, and Erin McNally contributed four digs for Cheyenne.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Yaneli Zarate had 15 kills, and Matti Ventling added 24 assists and five aces as the Wildcats swept the Pioneers, 25-16, 25-18, 25-12.

Rachel Reimschussel finished with five kills, and Shaleea Butler chipped in with nine digs and four kills for Las Vegas.

Sydney Morris led Canyon Springs with six kills, and teammate Karina Cavada recorded nine assists and two aces.

Bonanza 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Sammie Spelman had 11 kills and 11 digs to lead the Bengals to a 25-15, 25-20, 25-19 win over the Spartans.

Hailey Huntsman had 28 assists and four aces, and Sophie Cram spiked 12 kills for Bonanza.

Zaquae Downton had five kills and two aces, and Priscilla Bennett dished out eight assists for Cimarron.

Calvary Chapel 3, Laughlin 0 — At Laughlin, Brooke Davis had 25 assists and five aces, and Deja Harris finished with 11 kills as the Lions swept the Cougars, 25-9, 25-11, 25-20.

Jamie Mejia had six kills, and Alexis Harris added three kills and four aces for Calvary Chapel, which got four kills from Noelle Miller.

The Meadows 2-2, Lake Mead 0-0 — At The Meadows, Lena Schulhofer had 13 assists and two aces in the opener and 12 assists in the nightcap of the Mustangs’ 25-21, 25-16 and 25-23, 25-14 sweep of the Eagles.

Brooke Brennan supplied seven kills, 14 digs and three blocks in the first match and six kills and 13 digs in the finale for The Meadows, which also got four kills and four blocks from Dani Otter in the first match and five kills and four aces from Missy Siegel in the second match.

Jenette Hensley had 10 digs in the first match and 13 digs in the second for Lake Mead. Rachael Watkins dished out a total of 12 assists on the day for the Eagles.

Mountain View 2-0, Needles 0-2 — At Mountain View, Aariel Armstrong had 10 kills and seven aces as the Saints split their doubleheader with the Mustangs.

Mountain View won the opening match, 25-15, 25-22. Needles took the nightcap, 25-8, 25-19.

Rose Adkins and Lindsay Kessler each had four kills for Mountain View.

Round Mountain 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, the Knights were 25-11, 25-14, 25-18 winners over the Lions.

Tonopah 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Indian Springs, the Muckers collected a 25-20, 25-17, 25-18 win over the Thunderbirds.
