Locke helps Saints secure win in regular-season finale

Ian Locke ran for one touchdown and tossed a TD pass Saturday to lead Mountain View’s football team to a 38-8 home win over Lincoln County.

Locke, who finished with 115 rushing yards and 47 passing yards, got Mountain View (8-1, 7-0 Division III Southern League) started late in the first quarter with a 16-yard quarterback keeper to put the Saints up 6-0.

Lincoln County (2-6, 2-5) responded on a 17-yard play-action pass from Derek Shumway to Preston Robbins in the second quarter.

The 2-point conversion put the Lynx up 8-6.

Mountain View took a 20-8 lead into halftime after a 7-yard touchdown run by Jacob Duldulao and a 40-yard touchdown from Matthew Larson.

Duldulao, who added a 10-yard TD run in the third quarter, finished with 78 yards on 10 carries for the Saints, who also got 102 yards and a score from Larson.

Bernard Williams’ 24-yard run with about three minutes to play finished the scoring for Mountain View, which had 342 rushing yards.

Robbins finished with 68 rushing yards.

Jordan Harrington added 47 rushing yards for the Lynx.
